The group of first years trudged down to the dungeons following the pair of prefects and soon found themselves in front of a wall.
It was bland and normal that if you weren't paying close attention or searching for it specifically, you'd pass it as a normal wall. In fact, the only thing that's unique about it is the lamp that being held inside a snakes opened mouth, perched upon the ceiling looking about ready to strike.
The girl prefects faced the group and cleared her throat, effectively gaining all their attention.
"This is the entrance you the Slytherin common room. A password is needed to enter, one that will be given to you every Monday as it changes every week. "
She then turned back to the wall as the boy prefects said in a loud and clear voice. "Pureblood"
The eyes of the snake glowed green and Harry almost rolled his eyes.
" Seriously? It's so obvious they might as well parade it to the whole school"
A snicker could be heard from the background followed by a loud slap.
"OW! What the hell Sal! What'd you do that for?!"
"Nothing, I just wanted to slap you on the head"
"Why you-"
"BOYS!" Helga raised her voice immediately putting a stop to the fight that was sure to break out. "Seriously it's like I'm watching over two troublesome children"
Godric grumbled but kept his opinion to himself. He may already be dead, but he won't take the chance to find out if ghost could die again.
Harry snickered quietly as he followed the others who are walking into the common room.
The inside was breathtaking. There are statues of snakes that lined the wall here and there and couches that looks so soft, he was sure it'd be comfortable to sit upon. The windows on the wall showed that they were underwater, with fish occasionally swimming across it.
A fireplace is situated around the corner with more couch sorrounding it. It was warmer than he expected. But all in all, he loves it.
A smile tugged at his lips drawing the attention of the people around him. His face radiated an almost ethereal glow and his avada kedavra eyes shine in a way that made him look angelic. The others found themselves lost in it and if they didn't know any better, they'd say that what stood in front of them is an angel.
Though the smile didn't last long and was replaced by his usual indifferent mask-though nothing less entrancing.
It was then that a door to one of the corners of the room opened with a bang and in came a man wearing nothing but black clothing with his cape bellowing behind him. A scowl was painted across the man's face as he came you stand in front of th first years.
"Good evening" he drawled out, tone almost bored.
