Chapter 5

No One's POV

After getting ready for school with her uniform on and everything, she decided a cup of her favourite coffee brand, Americano would be enough.

As she checked her phone, she noticed that Haruto had messaged her.

Haruto 😊

Hey, I think I want
to cancel our plans for today.

Sorry.

Y/n went silent for a while after reading the sudden message from him.

Y/n’s POV

I thought my eyes were fooling me for a second, but it actually was in fact true which made me silent.

I shrugged it off, thinking that it might of been his school activities that kept him busy.

I looked at the mirror for one last time and smiled to myself. I’m sure everything will be fine, it's just one day, right?

“And to find x, first we need to solve 12— ”

Y/n was staring outside, thinking about Haruto. The day felt like it was already going bad, which was a rotten start.

Kringggg!!! The bell rung.

The class bid goodbye and thank you to Mr. Lee before he left the classroom.

The students then meet up with their friends, y/n’s friends being Minsoo and Mina.

They were about to go to the cafeteria when one of the seniors approached them, or y/n to be more precise.

“Y/n!”

He called out her name, making her hum back in response. She then finally noticed the bouquet of red roses in his hands.

Students that were passing by stopped in their tracks, already beginning to whisper among themselves.

“I really like you, I think it was when I saw how cute you looked while cheering for my team during that basketball match.”

He smiled shyly, offering the flowers which made the crowd of students around them cheer.

“Accept! Accept! Accept!”

Y/n felt overwhelmed, she hardly even knew this guy so how could she possibly accept him?

The bravest of the girl trio, Mina was the first to silence the crowd.
“Silence!”

“Accept! Accept! A...” one of the students was then shut up by their friend besides them when they pulled on their shirt.

“Ah, I’ll think about it first.” was y/n's reply. Hyunwoo nodded in embarrassment before giving her the flowers, walking away.

The crowd of students started to break up too to go too their own activities.

“Heol.. I think you’re the first one to reject Hyunwoo. There aren’t any rumors of the great Hyunwoo ever getting rejected.” Minsoo jabbed her elbow into y/n’s side, mocking her.

“Maybe we’ll hear them today.” Mina smiled at Minsoo before looking at y/n.

“So why did you reject Hyunwoo?”

“I don’t think I have feelings for him at all.”

“Understandable,” Minsoo nodded. “Now how about these roses that boy gave to you?”

Y/n’s POV

We placed the flowers on the teacher’s desk, making it some sort of decoration for the bland look of the classroom.

“Did something happen? We can tell there’s something bothering you by the way.” Mina's sudden statement surprised me for a second.

I smiled, shaking my head. “No, it's not important so don't worry about it.”

“Girl, I think this IS important. Especially if it’s about a bo-” Minsoo's eyes lit up, smirking at me at the realization.

“Is this about that certain boy you’ve been talking about?”

“Well, you’ve got me there.” I  let out a laugh before shrugging. “I don’t know, we’re not meeting up today so I'm just feeling weirdly sad about it.”

Mina and Minsoo shared a gaze before looking back at me

“Girl, it’s obvious that you like him.”
