WHAT IS SALVATION
POEM

What Is Salvation?

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son and whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have an everlasting life.

The Salvation starts from believing to the Son

So what does it mean to believe?

Believing that Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God?

Believing that He existed two thousand years ago?

Believing that He died on the cross?

Believing that He bore our sin with His death?

Believing that He resurrected after three days?

Believing so that you will be saved from eternal death, hell?

Believing so that you will be saved and gain eternal life?

So what does "believing to be saved" really meant?

Believing that if you pray in His Name, you will be saved?

Believing that if you go to church with His image on the cross, you will be saved?

Believing that if you professed Jesus as Lord Lord, you will be saved?

Well, my friend, there's nothing wrong in believing

But you must be awakened of what does the word BELIEVE in John 3:16 really meant

Believe in that verse isn't defined from the dictionary

Believe in that verse means faith

Believe means FAITH

Faith comes from believing, yes

But faith is deeper than believing

Faith engages trust and loyalty

Trust and loyalty correspond obedience

That is why we say, WE WALK BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT

If you believe in the Son of God

Then you must put your faith in the Son of God

Then you must trust the Son of God

Then you must be loyal to the Son of God

Then you must be obedient to the Son of God

Faith in Christ is the essence of our Salvation

And faith is a combination of trust and loyalty that was followed by obedience
