*~Chapter 4~*

~Eve pov~

After I'm sure all of the humans have left. I close the door and decide to learn more about humans. In this book they have normal jobs, the fact that they have guns, phones, and trains but don't have cars is weird also not everyone uses their phone. They prefer to speak in person. It's interesting this human world, but magic is what truly caught my eye although seeing it amongst the human world is not rare but there are major side effects. Some as big as bleeding through your eyes, losing a limb, or sudden death. In other words, it could be a minor headache or a sneeze for hours on end. I decided to try what the humans call cake, so I set off to the local bakery. As I walked in everyone turned their head to my direction as I stood above them. I took my hood off and ordered a cake slice.

"Excuse Me, sir, um what types of cake do you have"

Fright to reject her the bakery owner Shivered and said" take a seat ma'am I'll get the menu"

"Thank you "

The owner comes shortly afterward back and hands her the menu" Can I have the raspberry, vanilla, and red velvet cake slides. That's 15 koi plus tax which is 17 koi correct'

"Yes if you can show proof of koi I will get you those cake slices"Eve takes out a small bag and hands it to him. 

She trusts her height is solid so people don't steal from her. The baker sees and starts to get the cake slices and plates for her; she pays and takes a bite of the vanilla. If anyone saw they would mistake her for a noble by the way she eats. Omg, why does this taste so good I see why Nova likes to eat food now.

While Eve is enjoying her 6th piece of cake a very short man comes up to her with a funny looking gun. I remember reading about this, it must be one of the magic guns.

"Give me all your koi's"Eve looks him up and down but ignores him and picks up another piece of cake. Before she can consume the wonderfulness he has the AUDACITY to knock it out of her hand.

 "Now why in the world would you do that?" she said angrily standing up. 

The man shakes a bit but tries to keep his composer. "I...i...i said give me all your koi now"

She looks over at the Baker and asks"What's the price for this one here"

"Uh well that'll be about 50 years in prison," the baker says nervously while fiddling with his towel. 

"No, I mean for the head," Eve says, getting irritated by the situation. 

"About 5,000 koi minimum but no blood on the floor please" Eve grabs the man by his neck, flips him over, and shakes him violently causing all of his koi to fall to the floor.

 Eve looks around the room and yells 

"How much for his head !"

"5, 000"

"15"

"25"

"50"

"150,000"

"Sold to the upper-class woman in the back with the pretty eyes" Eve yells.

She goes to pick up the koi that the guy who was trying to rob her dropped, she then gets the 150,000 koi from a woman, heads outside to behead him.

"Can you do it slowly please he cheated me with my dad" Eve stares at him oddly and then back at the women

"Gladly ma'am" 

She is slowly taking the nice across his neck when she hears a gunshot and thinks of Nova. 

"Oh shit, what did she do now?" Eve says. 

She quickens the process and throws the head to the women before running towards the gunshot. She runs past a crowd, just in time to see Nova dodge and avoid a bullet to the head.
