"Initiate- Combat Training." The computerized voice said as Kaldur and Superboy slowly worked their way from the opposite sides of the circle towards each other. "3." the two began to circle each other. "2." They're now maintaining about ten feet of distance from each other. "1." Both charge, Superboy going in for a right hook punch that Aqualad ducked under, retaliating with a left-right one-two combo. Both of which Superboy blocked, though Kaldur jumped, going for a hook kick, which Superboy both ducked under and rose his hands for. As Kaldur landed he went for another right hook which Kaldur dove back into a back handspring, landing in a crouch.
Artemis and M'gann watched on with Wanda standing behind them quietly. "Kaldur's uh, nice, don't you think?" Artemis asked, glancing at M'gann to ensure that she was the only one listening before she continued, forgetting about the girl behind her. "Handsome. Commanding. You should totally ask him out."
"He's like a big brother to me," she denied light-heartedly. "But you know who would make the cutest couple? You and Wally." She teased, looking over her shoulder at the ginger currently noisily enjoying his burrito. "You're so full of passion and he's so full of-uh-of..."
"It," Wanda finished, making the archer turn around. It's been a week since Pietro hit her with lightning and five days since she woke up. Her ribs were still healing but they had came to a point to where the pain was tolerable. Batman had told her that it wasn't wise for her to go on any missions until she was healed fully which she agreed with. When she woke up the first thing she asked was how the mission went and the answer she received was not the one she expected. Apparently it went well but the day after, Professor Raquel was declared dead, killed by a blue blur, who they identified to be Pietro. The news took her by surprise, never taking her brother as a killer but knew he lived by one thing, 'whatever it takes.'
Artemis's eyes immediately landed on her wrist. "Hey, i have to ask, what's the wrist bracer for? I mean you're not an archer so why do you wear it?"
"It helps me focus on something when i use my powers. I can feel when my hex goes through my hands so the leather reminds me to not let it go any further than that."
Kaldur and Superboy charged each other, but with his bigger build Superboy gets his arms on the Atlantean's shoulder blades, before getting his boot behind Aqualad's barefoot, throwing him over his shoulder and a good fifteen feet away, on his rear. Aqualad let out a stunned cry as he felt his feet leave the ground. "Fail > Aqualad." the computerized voice called out as his stats appeared near the fallen Atlantean's shoulder.
Superboy stood up straighter, brushing off his hands. "Black Canary taught me that."
Red Tornado dropped out of a hole in the ceiling, gaining everyone's attention as Superboy helped Kaldur to his feet."Do you have a mission for us?" Wally asked, speeding in front of Red Tornado.
"Mission assignments are the Batman's responsibility," Tornado responded.
"Yeah. Well, the Batman is with the Robin, doing the Dynamic Duo thing in Gotham," Wally responded, tauntingly emulation Tornado's speech pattern. "but you're heading somewhere, right?" At this point all of the Team members were slowly moving in. "Hot date or a-a missión."
"If we can be of help..." Kaldur spoke up, counteracting Wally's general rudeness with very polite and formal speech.
Tornado looked the Team over for a moment. Then he turned and called up the holoscreens. "This is Kent Nelson, a friend. He is 106 years old."
