Can We Forgive Me?

After turning off the television Tomeka grabbed her mobile and called Briana and asked her to come to her room as soon as possible.

When she arrived Tomeka asked her did she know how the news stations knew to link her as Hakeem's mother but Briana did not know it was a mystery to her as well since only a few people knew Tomeka was the mother.

" Well it seems I will have to speak with Danton then but how will I get that chance when the outside of the palace is crawling with paparazzi."

" I could call Bomani and ask him to meet us at Lake Malawi." " If I can make it out of the palace without being followed".

" I can take care of that just put on jeans, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes if you don't have those sandals will suffice. Meet me at the servant entrance in five minutes."

"Ok thank you so much Briana"

"No problem now get dressed Tomeka we have to leave as soon as possible before someone leaks that you are attempting to flee the palace."

Five minutes later Tomeka was at the entrance waiting on Briana who was pulling up in one of the servant cars.

"Hurry up and get in they don't know I took the car, throw this blanket over you, and stay down until we have passed the gates. I will let you know when to get up"

"Ok"

Briana drove up to the palace gates where the paparazzi was standing outside waiting to get a glimpse of the royal family. When the gates open they rushed the car but only seeing the servant they moved out of the way.

"We are clear of the palace you can get up now"

" Thank you so much I just hope you don't get in too much trouble."

"Nevermind me we can worry about that later. Bomani will be waiting for you by the lake and he will take you to where Danton and Hakeem are hiding out until all of this blows over."

"Just me but I thought you were coming too."

" I will be there but I have to return the car I may aid you in your escape but I will not be labeled a thief, besides Bomani already has a car awaiting me on my return."

"Ok can you wake me when we get to the lake I feel so tired and overwrought by this mornings events." "What happened the queen sent us away when we were coming to your chambers."

" Hakeem is what happened but I will explain later."

" Sure thing"

Forty five minutes later Briana woke Tomeka up "Were here"

She sat up adjusting to her new surroundings. The first thing she saw was the beautiful blue green color of the ocean. She marveled at its sight. The beach was her favorite place to go no matter where she was. Opening the car door she took a deep breath and let herself out.

Walking around to the driver's side of the car she hugged Briana and told her to hurry back and ran over to Bomani's car and got in.

Departing from the beach they exchanged pleasantries then sat in silence.

Just before they got to Danton and her son's location, Bomani pulled over to the side of the empty road and cut the engine.

"Why did we stop"

"Because I want to ask you something and I am hoping you will be honest."

"Yes ok what is it"

"Why did you break it off with my brother?"
