Gabriella's Perspective

Nanatili lang akong nakatayo sa labas ng bahay after Jio left.

Mag i-eleven pm na siguro nung pumasok ako ng bahay. I composed myself first, baka kase naghihintay pa si mom or dad sa living room. Di pa naman ako nakapagpa-alam.

When I was inside, the living room was empty so I headed straight to my room.

"You'll be okay, Gab." I keep ranting to myself.

We will be okay...

I changed into PJ's first before lying in my bed.

Wala atang balak sumirado ng mata ko so I just opened my twitter para may magawa ako at para rin di ko na maisip yung nangyare kanina.

But when I refreshed the feed, Jio's tweet flashed on the screen:

"You think holding someone hard will bring them closer. You think that you can hold them so much that you'll still feel them, embossed on you when you pull away.
It's time to let go. But I don't trust myself that I can. Night :)"

Let go...

Let go...

He wants to let go of me..

Opening my phone's messages was the first thing I did when I woke up kanina. Hoping Jio left me text messages, but then, he did not.

Pagkababa ko, I saw my mom na tininimplahan ng cape si dad.

"Oh, goodmorning Gabby! Come on, let's eat." She chirped.

Hindi pa naman ako late kaya kakain nalang muna ako.

"How's last night?" Mom asked. I don't know if she's being sarcastic or what.

"Sorry I didn't asked a permission, mom" I muttered.

"But Jio did." She smiled.

"You know, that guy is worth keeping for princess. He's always calling me or dropping a text kung yayayain ka nya sa labas." Nagulat ako ng biglang nag comment si Daddy. If we're talking about Jio, dad was just silent.

"Your dad's right, Gabby. He asks our consent first before he ask you to a date. We're happy that you're with a good man." My mom patted my shoulder. I smiled bitterly.

I never know na humihingi pala ng permiso si Jio sa parents ko bago nya ko yayaing mag date. No wonder kung ginagabi na ko, they don't question me kung saan ako nanggaling or what.

Bago ako pumuntang school, I drop Jio a message:
Goodmorning :) I'm on my way to school. Kain ka na, okay? Take care!

Pagkadating ko sa school, I was waiting for Aly sa parking lot. Kadalasan kase, sinusundo nya ko sa bahay kaso she texted me kanina na nalate sya ng gising kaya mauna nalang daw ako and we'll just see each other sa school.

I still have 30 minutes before the time, medyo napaaga ako. It's better kesa naman sa bahay akong magmukmok. I keep checking my phone kung nag reply na ba si Jio kaso wala talaga.

Is he really serious about him letting me go?

I keep twirling my hair on my finger while waiting for Aly, kaso I saw a familiar car na nag park sa side ng sinadandigan kong kotse.

My cousin got out of the driver's seat first sabay labas din ni Scott from the passenver seat.

"Look who's here?" Kuya Cedrick said wiggling his eyebrows. I just rolled my eyes.
