The next day at Jindal Bhawan..

As per the everyday routine, once Akshat's hangover had come down to certain extend, he came down for breakfast.

As soon as he sat down, Vardaan started his bit of plan. He first messaged Akshat on his phone, telling him to address Kalyani as ACP' s fiance as ACP is under mission. Akshat simply just nodded not in a mood to question anyone.

Kishore: Papa, today I got a call from ACP.

As soon as she heard the word ACP, Antara sat straight.

Antara ( alarm): ACP? Why did the police called?

Durga Bahu: Woh yesterday we had went for Mr Malhotra's daughter Maanya's engagement na, so over their we had met ACP Malhar Rane.

Antara ( shocked): Malhar Rane?

Durga Bahu: yeah. Why do you ask?

Antara ( sighing): actually Malhar was Vikram's best friend. Occasionally he used to come to our house.

Lakshmi Bahu: but why did ACP called us?

Kishore: actually Papa he wants to book your restaurant for tomorrow afternoon as he's keeping a party.

Saraswati Bahu: party for what?

Kishore: for his engagement party.

As soon as he hears the word engagement, Antara spits water.

Antara ( shocked): engagement?!?

Durga: yup. According to what Kishore Ji told me, ACP recently got engaged to this girl who he loved for 5 years but due to her education, they both waited until she completes her degree study in IPS.

Lakshmi, what was her name again?

A voice from behind:
It's gonna be Kalyani Malhar Rane in 2 months.

Everyone turns around to see Kalyani standing at the Jindal Bhawan entrance.

Akshat gets up to receive her. She taking blessings from Dadi, to whom she whispers : Dadi, Mission Kayapalat shuru.

Dadi smiles at her and blesses her.

Kalyani: actually Mr Kishore Jindal had called Malhar Ji to Jindal Bhawan to fix the time and hall of the venue but he had some work in the police station so he sent me here to talk about the details.

Akshat: of course, please have a seat.

( Once everyone sits the daughter in laws go to the kitchen, Kishore and Vardaan go to their rooms, leaving Akshat, Antara and Dadi down the hall with Kalyani.)

Akshat: so what's your plan? Is it gonna be a high profile one or a close proximity one ?

Kalyani: we have decided to keep this engagement reception a high profile one. We have always been called to these parties so it's high time we call them too. 😀

She then talks about the details with Akshat. Meanwhile, Antara is lost in her thoughts.

Antara: if I had known you had so much of patience, I wouldn't have left you that easily. Being ACP's wife is more respectful than a Chef's wife.
