AUTHOR'S POV

"No Y/N, this can't be, you don't love him, you don't even know him! it's just an illusion" you thought as you picked up your fork and knife, while looking at your plate solemnly.

The night went by so slowly for you, you couldn't wait until you could finally get home to confront you father about this.

You were just about to eat your first bite when Sung-Ho decided it would be a good time to start a conversation.

"So Y/N, what are you busy with nowadays" he asked you as you put your fork down to answer him, gathering up all your enthusiasm that was left to talk in a cheerful tone.

"Well I'm starting college towards the end of August and then after I finish my college studies, I would really like to become a psychologis-" you were  suddenly cut off and you could feel all your joy washed away from you.

"Really?" He said, in a surprised tone, while scrunching up his face in disbelief.

"That's great...uh, yeah, definitely" He said reluctantly as he started to eat on his food.

Why was he acting like this? Is there something wrong? Did I say something wrong?

"Sung-ho are you okay? Do you need anything?" you asked, while looking at him innocently.

"No, no don't worry, Y/N, I'm okay" he said while trying to give you a reassuring smile. You knew something wrong, but you didn't give it much attention, even if you wanted to you couldn't find the energy to, so much happened today...

The night continued in its slow rhythm, it felt like you were stuck here for ages. You weren't really hungry or in any mood to eat so you just watched Sung-ho enjoy his meal, until he was finally finished.

You both were starting to make your way down to the ground floor level of the restaurant where your dad and Mr. Choi were sitting, but you had to pack some stuff in your bag before you actually left

As you were putting your phone inside your bag, Sung-ho came up in front of you, waiting patiently for your attention, however you hadn't really noticed him yet.

When you were good to go you were just about to stand up, seeing Sung- Ho waiting in front of you.

"Yes?" you said as you looked at him kindly. He then stretched out his hand out to you politely and you took it with a small smile drawn on your lips.

"Let's go" he faintly whispered as you both made your way to the stairs, hand in hand.

Even though it was quite a dramatic evening, with the secrets your dad kept from you and the sudden relationship, Sung-ho (and this very aesthetic place of course) made the evening a little more enjoyable.

Y/N'S POV

When we finally arrived to my dad's table, everyone was smiling except for me, I couldn't even look into my own father's eyes...

I don't know what had gotten into me, I feel so selfish for doubting my dad, he obviously did this to give us a better life, I'm so inconsiderate, looking out for myself and not for everyone else that loves me.
