This was inspired by kanna37 Backfired story and it's sequel. Seriously, if you like this then you should read it, it's much better then what I'm about to write. It's on fanfiction.net and archive of our own. I've reread it multiple times.
Lucy was looking around the GMG arena, wondering who she should pair up with for the wedding event that was apart of Mirajane's fight, which was turned into a modelling competition. The only problem was that it looked like there were no men left, kinda hurts that it seemed like no guy was attracted to her when she was swept off her feet, quite literally in a pair of strong warm arms but it also startled her gaining a high pitch yelp from her, flying through the air.
"Let's take this chance and really get married, Leonita," a very familiar voice sounded, sigh, I really wish he meant that, instead of playfully flirting with me, hurts that he only does it for fun, she thought before deciding to throw him out his game a little bit and damn she was going to enjoy it.
"Now, if I thought you actually meant that, I would tell you yes," she spoke, hurt filling her voice; he landed softly, a serious expression on his face with a little disbelief at her words.
"Lucy, you are the only women I have ever been serious about and the only one I have even hinted that I would want to marry," his tone dead serious and surprise covering Lucy's face.
"You really mean that?" She timidly questions, fear and hope in clouded her eyes as she peered up at him through her lashes.
"I mean it, Lucy, I feel in love with you at the bath house when I told you I was dying before turning around saying that it was a line I use to pick up girls and you didn't let me get away with it. Princess, I would give anything to have even the slightest chance with you," he poured his heart out to his key holder, arms around her waist, "so, Leonita, will you truely marry me? Will you take a chance on me?" Holy fucking STARS, he just proposed. Stunned, Lucy was quiet for a minute before nodding dazedly at the lion.
Grinning, Loke grabbed her hand, before pulling her towards the entrance/exit but paused, "Lucy, if we do this, I won't be able to hold my instincts back when you let me claim you. I will mark you as my mate, binding you to me for eternity, and I won't let you go," he warned, grudgingly giving her a chance to back out.
"Does that mean I won't ever have to say goodbye," and stars above she hope she wouldn't have to say goodbye before another question struck, "wait, there isn't a law against this is there?"
"No, you won't ever have to say goodbye and no there isn't a law against this. We spirits that are more animal like some take mates that are predestined other spirits only fall in love once, I fall under both categories...falling in love with you, my beautiful Leonita," as he spoke Lucy fell for him more and more, just when she thought she couldn't love him anymore, he goes and says or does something like this.
"Well, I'm definitely sticking to my decision and still marrying you, I just wanted to make sure you wouldn't get into trouble," she reassured him when he started to look nervous, although she kinda forgot to directly mention that she was more then happy about the mating. Loke grinned, before walking towards the entrance/exit, exited to elope with the woman he held affection for.
They darted throughout the crowded city of Crocus moving fast enough so they didn't take forever to get to the targeted building but not fast enough to attract stares and unwanted attention. They kinda forgot about the GMG in the initial excitement of tying the knot. Heading to the front desk they were handed a paper and told to fill it out, who would have thought that the happiness could be sucked out on such an occasion.
They sat at the table in the far corner, where Lucy began to fill everything out, "ok, first on the list name, shall we annoy the fuck out of people and put Leo the Lion?" Loke chuckled at his bride to be, shaking his head fondly.
"I go by Loke Regulus here from my time of banishment," he murmured softly to her, giving her a pained smile as he remembered the pain from then being cut off from his true self.
"Huh, that's actual fitting," Lucy uttered back, returning the smile with a comforting one, "you put a lot of thought into the name?"
"A little, mainly just the surname. Regulus is known as the heart of the lion, you know that Princess," he explained/reminded the golden blonde.
"Very true...ok next question; date of birth," Lucy blanched at the possible thought to the answer of that question. "Um, what date do you use for you birthday?"
"1st of July X765, since I look about two years older then you," he stated halfheartedly, lost in thought which was a bit odd for him since he was usually on full alert. After that every other question was rather easy and simple to answer, the couple walked back up to the counter when everything was done and signed by the two.
Paying the 35J fee, they left, Loke's arm around Lucy's shoulders possessively, heading back to the arena since the games were still on for the day but about half way there Loke pulled them to a stop, "I have something for you, Leonita," Loke murmured smugly, Lucy looked at him in confusion and he just held up his hand with a small jewellery box that only held either earrings or a ring, Lucy gasped slightly ashamed that she hadn't even thought of rings. Loke opened it to reveal a beautiful ring inside;Loke places the ring on Lucy's finger, then placed a kiss on the back of her had with a happy and charming smile, "can I get my first kiss from my wife, Princess?" Blushing, Lucy smiled going on the tips of her toes before pressing a soft kiss against his lips, Loke smiled happy that he could finally kiss her and not have the threat of getting slapped by her stopping him from doing so.
He let out a low growl, starting to deepen the kiss and dominate it; Lucy gasped not expecting that from him, Loke took the chance and thrusted his tongue into her mouth, lazily tasting every inch of her that he could access before pulling away slightly, both in need of air.
"Wow..." Lucy dazedly muttered, letting her husband steer her in the direction they had been heading in. Arriving at the balcony where there team was, the trip taking long then planned due to Loke stopping them so he could steal kisses and tease he little wife now and then.
Their team turned to them, curiosity eating away at them wondering where the two had disappeared to for an hour or so. They were lucky that they were allowed to leave the grounds or they could have been disqualified from the games.
"And just where do you think you left to,"Didn't make 2500 words so Imma do a sequel.
