Thud* a head slammed into the bar, turning some heads to see what was going on before going back to what they were doing upon realising that it was just Lucy. Her team destroyed the town leaving her to pay for the damages once again. This was an occurrence that became so regular that the guild wondered why Lucy stayed on the team. She was strong and could handle her own but for reasons only Lucy and her Spirits understood why she stayed.
A pair of red eyes watched the golden blonde from the second floor through the visor that protected others from his magic incase he lost control of his magic, aggravated with the way Team Natsu treated the woman he had fallen in love with.
Bickslow fell in love with the Stellar Mage over time, what attracted him to her originally was that she didn't call him a pervert when he made sexual remarks towards any women he was attracted to. If anything the cosmic woman would watch in mirth or gave as good as he did, when her team wasn't around, to which they start bantering back and forth much the his teams amusement.
Deciding enough was enough, he got up and headed to the job request board on the ground floor, looking for a job that had a decent reward and any that had spirit keys.Job Request:
Requesting Lucy Heartfilia and Bickslow
A Spirit or Soul is wrecking havoc throughout our island
Location: Galuna Island
Reward: 500,000J and 2 Celestial Keys
Contact: Bobo"Perfect," he muttered to himself before heading over to the golden beauty he fell for, "Cosplay Queen, come with me?" He uttered after he sat down next to her. Her head shot up about to scold him for calling her that nickname but stopped short at the sight of the paper he was holding in her direction. Grabbing the paper to read the request her fingers brushed his sending sparks through them, making the shiver in delight. Letting her read it over for a couple of minutes before asking for her opinion.
"Looks like we're going on a job together," Lucy stated with a warmth in her tone of voice that she had never used before. She watched as Bickslows face lit up at the chance to spend time with her, although this was unknown to her at the moment, she would have been curious if she hadn't seen how much he wanted to be accepted by everyone in the guild and that they had become friends after Fantasia when Bickslow dropped by a couple day after their fight above the toy store, to check up on her and apologise.
"When do you want to head off?" Bickslow questioned, looking at the spirit mage affectionately, not that you could tell with the visor on but you could tell by his tone of voice when he spoke to her and of her.
"I'm fine leaving whenever you are," she answered with that smile that brightened up the room wherever she was.
Grinning, "Meet at the train station in an hour if you have to pack somethings?" Bickslow answered but also gave her the option to change the meet up time.
"I have a go back in the spirit realm," she smiled sheepishly that she couldn't give him a solid answer.
"Now that makes life a hell of a lot easier, if we stop by my place on the way to the station to pick up my go bag, we can head out now," Lucy nodded before hopping off the bar stool and followed Bickslow out of the guild to his home.
Coming up to a cosy Victorian two story, it had five bedrooms with three bathrooms, a laundry, kitchen and dining area, and a large backyard that had a jungle gym taking up a large proportion of the yard. Photos that decorated the place consisted of the Raijinshuu and Laxus, five Boscan men and two Boscan women that showed up consistently, there were some other Boscans that littered the memories every now and again, and those from Fairy Tail. A few wooden sculptures made by hand decorated the home and other items that held sentimental value this Lucy guessed were picked up around from jobs or holidays. There was a garden out front that looked like it took years to grow.
Lucy sat on the sofa while she waited for Bickslow to grab his go bag and anything that he had taken out of the go bag that he had need beforehand, she wasn't waiting long before Bickslow came down, Babies in tow, she had briefly wondered where the five cutie pies had been but figure that Bickslow needed to let them rest or let his magic rest from constantly sustaining them.
"Hey Babies, I was wondering when you would make an appearance," she spoke to the cute souls that were Bixies Babies, said mage looked at Lucy in astonishment that she would speak to them and expect an answer. Not even his team nor Laxus would so that. He fell in love with her all over again, honestly she'll do something, every time Bickslow thought he couldn't fall in for her more, to spin his world on an axis before righting it by proving that whatever it was was genuine.
'Cosplay Queen' 'Cosplay Queen' they chanted spinning in circles around her. "Got everything?" she directed at the only man that she had ever been attracted to. She sometimes thinks that her preference to men stemmed somewhat from when she was growing up, being expected to marry a man old enough to be her father. Thankfully she only like men seven years older then her, tops.
Nodding his head, he questions, "you didn't look around?"
"No, my team goes through my stuff all the time and I despise it, so I make it a habit not to invade others privacy like they do mine," she quietly answers, grimacing just remembering all the times her team, and I use that term loosely, invades the one place meant to be a safe place for her to relax where they proceed to destroy her belongings, leaving her to replace everything.
"Cosplayer, I gotta ask," his Babies repeat him 'Cosplayer' 'Gotta a Question' 'Question for the Cosplayer' "why do you stay on Team Natsu, they quite frankly treat you worse then dirt. Half the time you come home injured is from their attacks; their gonna get you killed." He was desperate to find out why she was so loyal to them and he was right they were gonna get her killed one day but she couldn't leave the team yet. Not until she made sure that she didn't lose everything in the process.
"I'll be able to leave the team soon, hopefully. Now come on. We gotta train to catch." She grabbed his hand and took off running, giggling along the way as he cackled and the babies caught up after locking the door. People looked at them, questioning their sanity, although at the sight of the Fairy Tail mark on Bickslows tongue answered most but others thought there needed to be more than them just being Fairies. Though between you and me the few still questioning are new in the area or just tourists or just plain stupid.
Buy two tickets to Hargeon before waiting five minutes to board. It would be a 2 hour train ride but Lucy and Bickslow spent that time just talking, bantering and enjoying the time they get to spend together before Bicks brought up a long overdue question.
"What did you mean before that you'd hopefully get to leave your team?" Bickslow could show his perceptive side when he wants, although he normally focuses on making people laugh and just try to lighten the mood.
"I..." Lucy had been dreading when he would bring that up. She always knew he was smart and more perceptive then he let on. "Sigh, when Team Natsu was formed I made a promise that I would always be on the team but because of my magic my promise is tied into my magic. This means if I break a promise I lose all my contracts. Natsu is smarter than he lets on, so after watching me make my contract with Plue he tricked me into promising to be on a team with him. I asked Loke to speak to the Spirit King about all the abuse, as my spirits say, so I can leave the team without losing my keys. I...I'm normally really careful with the promises I make and the one time I trust someone so blindly, it bits me in the ass." She whispered the last sentence so quietly Bicks almost missed it. Wrapping his arms around her he pulled the blonde onto his lap, resting his chin on her head, tucking her into him tightly.
"Hey, there is nothing wrong with trusting someone blindly. He tricked you into thinking you could trust him with no need to doubt what he does. Lots of people trust him like that, he seems so...kind and all about Nakama that you wouldn't suspect that he was capable of what he did. You did nothing wrong, you just have to be careful with who you gift your trust to, ok?" He comforted her, whispering soothingly in her ear before pressing a gentle kiss just behind said ear. Somehow, he managed to get through to her with that one reassurance, normally people don't get through to her after hearing from her father that she should be grateful for what she has and that there is others out there that have bigger problems. Which admittedly is true but that doesn't make her problems any less important.
Smiling slightly, Lucy moved, carefully not to knock Bicks with her head, to place a gentle lingering kiss on his cheek, "thank you, Bixy," was all she whispered to him, happy she wasn't completely stupid for trusting the flaming idiot. Before long the train neared Hargeon as the conductor relayed over the speakers as they came to a stop at the station announcing that those getting of here were to head to the nearest door to depart the train. They headed to the docks where Lucy spotted Bobo waiting for the two of them. "Bobo, it's nice to see you again. How have you been?" Lucy asked with a bright and heart warming smile on her face.
"Hi Miss Lucy, I've been as good as can be with what's going on at Galuna Island but I'm happy to be able to go home," Bobo really did appreciate being able to go home and spend time with his father. "Shall we head over now or did you want to have a look around and see if anything interests you while your here?"
Lucy stopped to think for a moment before remembering that magic shop where she bought Plues key, "now that I think about, if it's ok with you Bix, I wouldn't mind having a look to see if the magic shop has any keys?" She promoted to the two men, who both nodded in acceptance and Bickslow headed on in the shops direction grabbing Lucy's hand. At the shop there was Leo Minor, to which Lucy started bouncing around, the key cost about 25000J but to Lucy it was worth it. She had been trying to find this particular key since Loke told her about his little twins. Grabbing, Bickslows hand, while mentally reaching out to Loke, as they came to a large open area, Loke, come through you gate, I have a surprise for you, she grabbed Leo Minors key getting ready to summon them and waited a minute for Loke to appear. In a flash of golden sparkles that resembles stars, Loke appeared next to the couple confusion littering his face.
"Is everything ok, Princess?" He wasn't flirty like he normally was, which concerned Bickslow, but unknown to him, Loke only flirts when others are around for reasons only Lucy and the lion spirit knew of. Instead of answering, Lucy just held up a key, the lions face lit up like a Christmas tree when his eyes laid upon to key, "Princess, you found them," he cheered, picking Lucy up in a hug and spinning her around in a circle, "well, what are you waiting for. Summon them, please, please, please," he begged her.
Lucy nodded before taking her stance, "Open, Gate of the Little Lions...Leo Minor" two kids appeared in front of them. A girl and a boy.(A/N I don't drawings above)
Loke look like he was going to cry but he had this big ass cheeky grin on his face. The two kids looked so timid that it broke Bickslows and Lucy's heart, the boy stood in front of his sister protectively, looking ready to take any beatings so his sister didn't know the pain.
"Hello, you must be our new Mistress," he started, pausing briefly as if waiting for a punch or something before continuing, "my name is Raion and this is my little sister Leonora," Lucy had tears in her eyes seeing the downtrodden looking in their eyes and the fear they held for humans.
"My name is Lucy, I'm not you Mistress, I'm your friend but before you two decide if you want a contract with me, there is someone that wants to see you desperately," she started, before pushing Loke towards the two as the looked up for the first time since they had been summoned. The second they locked eyes with Loke massive smiles full of happiness formed on their faces before the pounced on him. Loke let out a watery laugh, tears streaming down his face, poor Bickslow was so confused. Lucy was so happy to have reunited them, now all she had to do was find the Lynx Spirit and reunited the family completely.
"My little cubs, with me at last. Stars above, I have missed you two so much..." Loke continued to vomit words to them, as Bickslow pulled Lucy into a warm embrace, his heart swelling at the scene and at how selfless the woman in his arms is. "Thank you so much, Princess, for looking for them. You've already done so much for me," Loke smiled, his voice hitching now and then from the crying, "cubs, I want you to meet the Celestial Princess, my key holder," he introduced, knowing they would have forgotten from the reunion.
"Hi Princess, it's nice to meet you," the simultaneously greeted, slightly timid once again, hiding slightly behind Leo's legs, each gripping one tightly.
"It's nice to finally meet you two, Loke has told me so many things, I'm glad you could finally be reunited with him," the bright smile on Lucy's face seemed to ease them slightly before they took notice of the strangely dressed man holding her and squeaked before hiding completely, "this is Bickslow, he won't hurt you two...actually I won't let anyone hurt you two."
"We...we would l...like to make a con...contract with you, Pri...Princess," for the first time since being summoned, Leonora spoke on her own for the two of them. "We wil...will leave the contract u...up for Ba...Babba to decid...decide for us," she flushed a bright red.
"Ok, do want to tell me if there is anything you would prefer when I summon you?" Lucy asked, her voice soft with a small smile directed at the twins.
"Um...just cookies and milk if you summon us at home and if it's at night. It helps us sleep," Raion spoke this time.
"Ok and any climates you don't like?" The Spirit Mage wanted to try and get them comfortable with her.
"We do...don't like wat...water but other than that a...as long as we're summoned on dry lan...land we're fine," they took turns talking before telling Loke that they would be waiting at home for him to return before going back to the Spirit Realm.
"Loke, go back, just write down what there contract is but go spend time with your cubs," the summoner said with a warm smile still on her face, Loke nodded kissing his Princesses forehead in brotherly way before heading back. The two were quiet for a bit before a deep voice broke it.
"You are truely a pure kindhearted soul," even Lucy could hear the affection in Bickslows voice, cause her to flush deep before looking up at the man. He was looking down at her as if seeing the sunrise for the first time.
Tilting her head inquiring silently as to why he would look at her like that, before her eyes widened realising he wasn't wearing his visor; raising her hands to the sides of his face, she cupped his face gently, looking at him completely in awe at what she was seeing.
She went to say something but was stopped by a pair of soft but rough lips meeting hers, she let out a soft surprised gasp, not expecting this but returned the kiss after she got over the shock. Bickslow made a noise of relief, not quite a sigh but something similar to it before he pulled away, resting his forehead on hers. Softly gazing into each other's eyes, "I have been wanting to do that since I fell in love with you, Cosplay Queen."
"Umh, holy stars...I love you too, Bixy," Bickslow let out a loud laugh, picking her up, spinning in circles, kissing her again.
