I'm Sorry, Mother

I'm sorry for the way I treated you like trash. I'm sorry for sneering at your hard work. I'm sorry for looking down on you.
You have tried your best, put in your blood, sweat and tears, and gave all you've got. And all I did was to laugh at your efforts.
You spend hours of hard labour just to earn money and I took minutes to spend them. You could hardly afford living expenses and I strut around wearing designer clothes. You tried to make the best out of the situation you were in while I demanded, whined and moaned.
I was wasting my life while you were slaving away. I thought I was growing up, but instead, I was growing distant, away from you. Soon, the only reason I had spoken to you was to get more money. Soon, my hatred for you, for the world, had grown. I was angry at you for not earning enough money, for not putting in all you hard work. But now, I know. You had tried your best, you had done all of this out of your love for me.
I'm sorry, Mother, I should have done more to help you, I should have been the one working, not you. I should have cared for you, make you proud, but all I did was to discourage you and put you down. I should have been there for you, show you that I truly loved you... But now, it's too late.
I'm sorry, I should have said this before... but... I love you.
I should have thanked you for your hard work and your hidden facts of love...
I should have shown you my love for you...
But now, it's too late, I can only say goodbye...
