I can't do this anymore.

Sayah's body ached, spasms of pain coursing through her body. Her arms were littered with scratches from the rough surfaces and black and blue bruises. Her feet were caked with crimson blood and wet, splotchy mud and her once snow white hair might as well have turned into black from the soot and the ash.

But she still ran.

Her sharp ears could make out the approaching pursuers. Sayah wished she could put an obstacle in their path, but magic would now drain her strength and hinder her than help her. Sayah cursed the Qwiltip forest for its rough and uneven terrain. She was a good runner with her lithe and muscular body, but so were her pursuers.

The view of the spaceship field at the edge of her horizon was like a forbidden fruit - it was so near, but out of her reach. She had to reach it. She didn't dare imagine the consequences if she was caught by the Gedrah forces.

The ground beneath her feet slowly shifted to cold smooth metal as she left the forest behind. Her footsteps were now heard more clearly than before. She quickly pulled her hood up as she blended into the crowd of people milling about the field. Out of everyone in the crowd, a human stood out to her. He was tall with fair skin, raven hair, small eyes and broad shoulders. If Sayah hadn't been in such a dire situation, she would have admired his beauty and probably even flirted with him, but not getting captured was the priority here.

Following the human was some sort of furry creature as white as her hair. It's tongue was constantly out as it scampered behind him joyfully. Sayah thought it to be a pet of some sort. Keeping a careful eye on the creature, she followed it, readying herself to be a stowaway on a ship.

Just then, she could hear shouts as Captain Holden and his troops entered into the field, causing a great disturbance. Their flashy black and gold uniforms stood out among the littering of people. They pushed their way through the crowds, one or two of the soldiers staying behind to question the people.

"Rawli," said Sayah, her heart beating million times over its normal pace.

She would have used the word for invisibility, but a camouflage spell was much easier and she didn't want to faint on the spot by using all her strength for one spell. Though she was camouflaged, Sayah still kept her hood on. Her shoulders were hunched and her gaze was on the ground. She took lengthy strides to catch up with the human who was moving faster than she thought he would.

The human stopped near a magnificent white ship with blue and black detailing. A fine specimen. The tall doors opened for him and she quickly followed him inside, not wanting to get trapped between the sliding doors. However, she was pulled back when she was about to venture into the interior of the ship.

Her cloak was caught between the doors.

Grasping a fistful of her cloak, she pulled at it, but only stumbled down on the floor. Running out of the patience, she ripped her cloak, trying to ignore the hole in her once grand cloak. Turning right, she ran towards the direction the human had gone and quickly reached the control centre.
