Mel: welcome bakers to your first week. This year we are starting on bread and you are going to make bread rolls which can relate to your hometown.
Sue: so on your marks, get set, bake!
(In a field in district 12)
Mary: we are looking for bread rolls that taste like bread and have flavours which will possibly compliment each other.
(Back in the tent)
Peter malark: these are very traditional rolls that sell very well in one of the local bakeries.
(Flashback)
Peter is from district 12 in panem. After surviving a brutal hunger games he doesn't do much baking now he lives in district 13.
(Back to tent)
Mary: so what flavours are you using.
Peter: cheap fruit and nuts from a shifty market.
Hazel grace Lancaster: I'm making a lunch inspired bread roll.
Paul: lunch inspired?
Hazel: yes so I'm using bacon, poached eggs and black pudding with ketchup as a glaze.
Mary: do you mean breakfast inspired?
Hazel: no I was meant to say dinner inspired as I don't believe they should be downgraded to breakfast food.
America singer: my rolls are inspired by my sister so they are strawberry flavoured.
(Flashback)
America lives in ilea in a castle with her husband Maxon. She hates to bake but her friend aspen managed to get her in with bribery.
(Back in the tent)
Tobias eaton: I'm making a roll with beer and peace syrum inside.
Mary: peace syrum we've never had that before. What will it do.
Tobias: well it will make you love my rolls and win this challenge.
Mel: the bakers need to allow enough time for their dough to prove.
Tobias: well if my dough hasn't proved itself it will end up factionless like some of the dauntless people.
Sue: 2 proves later.
America: right time to go in the oven. I hope they like them because my sister will be so proud.
Hazel: I'm here to prove a point that food shouldn't be put into categories and I would like eggs especially to be eaten at dinner.
Sue: with only 20 minutes left Peter has had a disaster.
Peter: OMG!
Mel: his bread has burnt.
Peter: what am I going to do(puts it in a pen)
Sue: Peter what are you going to present?
Mel: bakers that's the end Of the challenge.
Mary: so hazel they have a horrible colour with the ketchup glaze and I love the banner above them saying dinner is served.
Paul: but I hate the flavour with all the saltiness and eggyness.
Paul: so America strawberry in a savoury roll.
America: oh I told the kitchen to save me a roll.
Mary: it tastes awful but I love the dedication to your sister.
America: thank you.
Peter: my bread burnt so I put it into the pig pen over there.
Mary: that's a dog pen well it was a dog pen.
Paul: well all I can say was it was a simple idea and very simple presentation.
Tobias:I have a couple of bottles of bear if there isn't enough for you Mary.
Paul: I love the look of them with nothing on top.
Mary: OMG that is the best bread roll I've ever had the syrum is really coming through and I really like you tobias and I think you should go all the way and win.
(Outside in a field in district 12)
Peter: well if tobias had gone before me then they would have been drunk and peaceful and I could have presented a plate.
Tobias: I think my flavours won them over.
America: I just feel so proud and the kitchen staff should all be sacked apart from marlee who will be promoted to head chef.
Hazel: I just hope that they understand eggs should not be downgraded to breakfast and I will continue with these metaphors until they understand.
