Mel: Jacob has had to join us in the tent due to cassia'a failed attempt to kill the judges.
Sue:bakers this morning we would like you to make a traditional custard tart or a contemporary custard tart.
Mel:add fruit add veg but just don't try to kill the judges again.
Sue:so on your marks get set bake!
(In a field in district 12)
Paul:the custard needs to be smooth and I would suggest not making it too large as it will cook quicker as a small mixture.
(Back in the tent)
Jacob:I am making a 20inch custard tart.
Mary:20inch we're not that fat.
Jacob:I know but the wol...i mean women that I normally bake for are.
Minho:I'm making a ham and cheese custard tart as we've been living off of sandwiches most of our life so I'm dedicating it to that.
America:I know I've already done a strawberry bake for my sister but Maxon and I had a deal that if I practised it an she cried then I'd have to make it on the show and she did.
Mary:well I hope it turns out and you have enough time.
Hazel:this is called my stressful tart as the colours don't match. I'm doing a chocolate pastry with a completely white custard.
Mel:the bakers custard needs to be completely smooth.
Minho:the cheese hasn't melted into the custard like it usually does.
America:I have strawberries floating in my custard which adds good texture.
Hazel:when I get this out the oven I will have to blindfold myself as it is too stressful for me to look at.
Sue:bakers that's the end of the bake.
Mary:so Jacob did it all go to plan.
Jacob:yes but it couldn't quite fit into your oven so I baked it in two halves and stuck them together.
Paul:well Minho that is simply the worst ever custard tart I have ever tasted and you need to pull your act together.
Mary:hazel you can take the blindfold off.
Hazel:no
Paul:well it does taste very good but I don't get the stressful element.
Mary:America it does taste good but we have a secret camera over your sister and she didn't cry so you are leaving the competition.
