When you are making an OC, make it unique. No one likes Mary Sues.
Def of a Mary Sue: Someone or something that clearly copies another thing or something that is too over the top.
Examples of Mary Sues (I am not trying to hate on any of the people who made them): Nina the Killer (She copies Jeff the Killer) and let's just say a character that is the daughter of Slenderman, is the most powerful, everybody loves her, she is perfect, and everything goes the way she wants.
To make it even better, try and tie some things from your life into it. My Creepypasta OC has the same birthday day and month as me but not the same year.
