Atoranta: HAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (if you don't know that, it's a reference to abridged BBT)

Shinsei: ... No.... just no...

Atoranta: You know, I never imagine I'd be the one screaming on these

Shinsei: Are you... calling me out?

Atoranta: No.. at least not yet >:D

Shinsei: what was that last part?

Atoranta: uhhh "it's time for Kite's chapter"?

You walk with Kite through the frozen streets, people of all kinds moving too slowly for your eyes to pick up. Glancing at him with your (e/c) eyes, you watch as he walks with purpose through the streets. A person with a number was close by. His robot, Orbital 7 follows behind you two, forgotten by Kite.

"Remind me why I'm here again?" You ask with an irritated tone. Only you weren't irritated. You were amazed at how time stopped. It was so odd to walk down the streets you grew up on that were always so full of life completely stopped.

"Don't I remember hearing you beg to experience time being stopped?" Kite says, smirking at you as you cross your arms, looking away from him as your face heats up.

"...I didn't beg," you murmur quietly. Kite chuckles.

"Whatever you say, (y/n)."

A frozen raindrop hit your nose, making you flinch. Kite glances at you, a small smile forming on his face.

"You alright?" He asks, making you blush at your carelessness. You nod, trying your best to not hit the droplets head first again. "This time stop thing can get some getting used to."

"I'm figuring that out," you agree with him, fidgeting with your (h/l), (h/c) hair, as was your habit of doing so when you're nervous.

Kite seems to notice this, and wraps his arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer as you blush.

"You're doing pretty well for your first time experiencing this," he remarks. "But don't worry, I'll keep you safe," Kite purrs, smirking at your reaction. "I'm too good to lose."

"It's not your skills I'm worried about," you answer.

Kite had been working himself too hard lately. Time had stopped frequently. Kite had made it that you got a notification whenever he used that power, and recently you had been getting bombarded with the chimes.

"When are you going to take a break, Kite? This isn't good for you," you tell him.

"I'm fine, (y/n). Besides, I'm doing this for Hart. The sooner he gets better, the better." You can't help but feel envy for Hart. He had a brother that would do anything to save him. Unlike you, who had a family that couldn't care less.

"Hart will be fine if you don't spend 20 hours a day number hunting. You need to look after your health, too. I can't be the babysitter for both of the Tenjo brothers." You helped out Kite with Hart whenever you could, spending time with the younger Tenjo brother so that he didn't feel lonely when Kite hunted for numbers from before sunrise to midnight.

"Master Kite, t-the number owner is c-close," Orbital 7 chimes from behind you, his voice glitching. Kite nods, putting his lips in the right position to whistle. He starts a melody that sends haunting shivers up your spine, but at the same time, you enjoy it. It's melodic and mysterious, just like the fog that had settled around Heartland City before Kite had stopped time.

A silhouette appears in the distance, rushing to and fro as Kite closes in on his prey. He slips his hand off your shoulders, gaze hardening as he moves in for the kill. As soon as his touch stops, the place where his arm was becomes colder.
