It was our field trip.
And Rhea was leaning on the window of the bus while they're on their way to the trip. Behind her, two top-notchers of the class were sitting next to her. She heard their voices that we're talking about her.
“Why are you being good to her, Cindy?”
The other girl stayed silent. She doesn't like to talk much but the girl who talked to her was also her friend.
Having no response, she continued to talk. “Do you have any idea how childish she is? We're in 6th Grade for Pete's sake! I bet her parents spoiled her so much that influences her to be like that?” Nica grumbled, and whispered through Cindy's ears.
Rhea frowned upon hearing it, as if Nica knows something more about her family.
Cindy shooked her head and muttered something to Nica's ears that made Nica shut up for awhile.
The rest of the journey went utterly quiet.
Rhea can't determine on what they were saying about her. And she was sure of it that this memory would haunt her in the future. Maybe, she'll figure it something soon.
Cindy was a nice friend to her. No matter how she was annoying. She's being kind for no reason. But now, her uneasiness rises when Cindy speaks something about her.
