Lisa's pov

The coffee shop location was chosen by Mia who swore that it would be the best place to go. Lydia didn't even answer when we all took turns and asking her to join us, so we let her be. Arian and me didn't even try, I didn't know why he was mad, but I was too in thought over what happened.

And Mia wins once again, the shop was vintage and sophisticated and the beauty of it paid off the awkward walk. It was even more of surprise and happiness when she rather proudly announced that this was where she worked.

we had just sat down and ordered a round of coffee, when Tony, termed impatience from now on inside my head, immediately starts flipping through the menu for sandwiches.

"I'll have the tuna sandwich.." He says, giving a well practised bedroom eye stare. I only stare back at him, blank as to why he was looking like he was going all in, at a poker game. In the very next instant, the other two guys at the table start laughing hysterically.

Mia joins the squad of being confused with me. We both wait and find ourselves looking at two grinning men doing a one side money exchange. More importantly, it was Arian giving the money to a smug Kevin.

"What on earth is going on? Why is Arian giving you money?" The thing was Arian wasn't even feeling wronged. He was grinning along with Kevin. Let me not forget about the fairly irritated looking Tony, who really is felt cheated.

"It's quite a long story but really I'm not even protesting about the idea of me losing my money to this batshit! this was really worth the laugh!" Arian wheezes out in between laughs.

"Well, Dan from the dance class said he was sure you liked to eat tuna sandwiches and this idiot believed him. Arian and me knew for sure that this dude was only spewing bullshit to getting attention.

So we betted on how this would go down. I said that you would only give him a blank stare and it really happened!!" I look at Arian,

"What did you think I would do?" for some reason I was interested. He full on smirks at me.

"I said you would kick him in the balls." Mia pushes her back on the chair, scoffing.

"That's taking it too far! In the eyes of any person, all Tony did was order a tuna sandwich." I nod along, but my eyes linger on him for a little too long. It was an awkward silence.

In in two seconds, the boys start discussing the game, which mia and I know nothing about. So I take this as a opportunity to ask her about the job.

She starts explaining about the minor details, and I end up only half listening. In a few minutes, she starts tugging at me to stand up.

"Where are we going? " I sounded tired.

"To meet the manager of course. " What?!

"Excuse me?! I'm not ready! At all. " The boys didn't even notice us going away.

"Nobody's ready for life. "

"What the hell's that supposed to m-! "

Too late, one more push, I'm suddenly in front of a very-typical-like-manager dude.

He was wearing black suit pants, white shirt with the dirty sleeves rolled up to hide, a little on the plump side,  head starting to bald with shining eyes and a hooked nose.

"Mia, this place is authorized personnel only.."

"It's okay Mr. Green! This is the new worker we wanted all month. " He does a quick eye sweep check, and then looks up to my face.
