Convincing Dr. Bose

Sonakshi was Dev's family nutritionist for past 4 months. She made sure to provide the best service to Dixit family. Thanks to her, Ishwari's health took a radical turn and now that her work in Dixit household was coming to an end, Dev offered her to work in his company. Ever since Sona's accident, they both became very good friends and Dev didn't like the idea of her working for a different company. But Sona was in a whole different world. After the accident she started to have feelings for Dev, and since they started spending many evenings discussing about life and stuffs, she couldn't help but think otherwise. So as soon as her contract for Dev would end, she was thinking of taking offer from another company to keep herself away from having these thoughts about Dev.

Dev couldn't understand why she was so adamant on leaving and was a bit disheartened since he thought they were good friends and she wouldn't turn down the offer. On the last day of Sona's job, everyone gave her a farewell. Nikki was upset more than anyone else, so Sona promised her that they would meet atleast once a week. Riya was trying to convince her to be at office, so that she could see her everyday. Ishwari was very sad as well, she wished if she weren't better Sona could stay. Sona bid everyone goodbye and looked around to see if Dev was at home. Neha instantly caught Sona looking around. She knew Dev and Sona had been spending time together. She could sense why Sona didn't want to work for Dev. And she also noticed how Dev was turning into more lively man with Sona's presence. She smiled internally, after all she knew how it felt to be in love. So to create a spark she blurted "Where's Bhai? I thought he would be here but anyways i knew he wouldn't have time for this." Sona's heart shrunked on hearing this. She mentally cursed herself on thinking she was someone special that he would be around to tell her bye. Her reaction reflected on her face and Neha confirmed that Sona already felt for Dev. By next week she should talk to Bhai she thought.

With every steps that Sona took, she felt like her heart was crushing into pieces. Why did it have to be him? He didn't care about her feelings. He wasn't even there to say goodbye so there's noway he would miss her. One last time she took a glance of the house, and checked his windows (just to be sure) and disappointed took hold of her face and heart. She turned around and thought of taking a long walk to her house. Just then a white car stopped by her side, and out came the great Mr. Dev Dixit. "I am sorry, I'm late" he said.
To say Sona was beyond surprised was an understatement. She couldn't believe what she heard. So Dev had to snap her out of thoughts and he explained how Delhi traffic caught hold of him and he wouldn't want to miss her farewell. On hearing so, tears started rolling down her face, and she went on to hug him. Normally Dev would be shocked with such expression, but it felt so natural cause it was Ms. Bose, or Dr. Bose to be precise. He hugged her back, patted her head and asked her to get in the car so he could drop her off. Suddenly, she realized the close proximity between them, and she hurriedly broke the hug and got into the car. How could she do this? What would he have thought? Her head was occupied with such guilt and embarrassment that she couldn't even look at him. The drive was almost silent except for the soft music in the car. After a while, the car came to halt suddenly and Sona jolted out of her thoughts. "Lets talk over a cup of coffee" Dev proposed.

Dev was determined to convince Sona to work for him. He knew she would be his best investment. So as she sat on the car bonnet, he handed her the coffee and asked "Ms.Bose, why do you not want to work for me?" Surprised with the sudden question, she grew pale and with a shaky voice she said "I want to grow Mr. Dixit, I want to see newer people. I cannot be confined within your boundaries forever." On hearing this Dev replied "It shouldn't be problem for you Ms. Bose. I have a lot of employees working very efficiently and I want you to take care of everyone, not just me. You'll have your own working space, you can make diet chart for my employees. And you can also collaborate with the hospital I invest in with various projects. I'll give you best possible package Ms. Bose, I don't want to lose you." Collaborating with hospitals part got Sona so excited that she jumped off the car and hugged him tight and agreed to the offer. She would definitely get good package at the other offices but she wasn't sure if they would allow her the hospital work. Dev had his coffee in a hand and was just deciding if he should hug her back when she pulled out hurriedly. Wow Sona, twice in a day, you are on fire today thought Sona. Dev was taken aback by her immediate agreement but he was a business man after all, one of the top in the country, and when he put so much effort into negotiating who would dare not accept his proposal😉😉 "Then see you tomorrow Ms. Bose, at my office and you can come sign the contract. I give you freedom to put anything else that you want in your contract. Think about it." "Can I have you?" said Sona mentally and let out a smile. "I am all good with work load Mr. Dixit. Can't wait to take up hospital projects but I would want my office hours to be strictly 10-5. I want little time for myself." "No way Ms. Bose, that too much of liberty to ask for. I pay you more than any other nutritionist in the town."Said Dev curtly leaving Sona shocked, like didn't he just tell you that I could ask him for anything🤷‍♀️ Then Dev let out a chuckle before saying " Look at you Ms. Bose. Imagine, may esa wala boss hota toh.... Wait a minute may esa hi boss hu but I could be a little liberal for the best nutritionist in the town."
