Storm is a Half Angel/Half Demon god, also the form Demon Tord and Angel Tom create when they collide together. I swear if you mention transformers or Steven Universe I will smite you. ||••••||

Heaven and Hell were once enemies since Satan had been the one to betray God and create his own world where demons were made; but once God made a little fuck up and created monsters that if not fought then they could easily destroy the world, he begs Satan to help him out.
The Devil and God then think and think and think before they realize that if you were to morph a demon and a angel you would create a god who has the powers of both of theirs, so every 1,000 years there is a ceremony that chooses the next demon and angel to go down to earth and protect it from the monsters that are created every single day.
Edd, Tom, and Matt once met God when Edd severally injured his wings and needed aid. God had healed him and told Edd, "You would make a mighty fine god one day with that pain tolerance you got there." which most would take lightly, but God is known to give hints all the time so it was practically fact to the three boys that Edd was going to be the next angel to become god.
Tord on the other hand was friends with Lucifer and had already sealed the deal on becoming the next god, but everyone in hell had already known he was going to be the next god anyway due to his incredible power compared to everyone else.
Once the ceremony came for the new hero's to be chosen, Tord was obviously picked but it wasn't Edd who got picked to become hero.. it was Tom. This surprised every angel in heaven since Tom is the most un-hero like angel out there because of his lazy and uncaring personality, but no one except God and Lucifer really knew that he's actually currently the most powerful angel in Heaven.
Tord was excited for becoming a god since he had all these visions in his head about his heroic title, godly costume that the morphing process gives you, and especially all the women that'll flock to him... but Tom had ruined all of these visions.
Tom was the total opposite of Tord in that category, he could care less for everything Tord found exciting so when Tord and him were given their ultimate appearance and title, they weren't as godly or majestic as he had envisioned they would be and he got angry while Tom was content with what they were given.
On the very first battle, Tom and Tord had made such a embarrassing scene of themselves that even the giant monster had stopped to watch. Tom and Tord didn't get along whatsoever so they'd constantly fight while in the same body, making themselves injure their combined body and slow down the process of saving the city.
Also, God and Lucifer may have chosen them because of their power, but every 1,000 years they liked to have a bet on if the two chosen individuals would fall in love, since it happened so many times before. Which since the two boys liked boys, they wanted to try to see if two gays would fall for each other... thank me later.
