Woman in a white dress

Warning there are mentions of death and drowning if you have had any Trauma or someone who has died from this I do not recommend reading this chapter.

I lived in Toronto, Canada. I know people hate the cold, but I loved the cold so much so I didn't go out unless it was snowing, but that all changed on one fatal day.

It was raining out and the power went out so, I was telling my siblings, the story of the woman in the white dress.

In the 1500
There was a woman who wore a white dress
She had a son and a husband.

She went outside while it was raining in that white dress.

She took care of the garden and went inside.

She went to the basement and saw a white wedding dress she tried it on.

Nothing happened so she went upstairs in the white wedding dress.

Her husband was home and when he saw her in that white wedding dress he raged he thought she was being unfaithful.

In this town it is illegal to be with someone else other than your spouse.

So he told the town leader who had her drowned in that white wedding dress.

"Any last words" the leader said like he usually did during a drowning

"Yes" the woman said she continued
"if I am to be drowned here and now I only wish the best for my son" the woman ended

Now if you go out while it is raining or near a river at night you will here her say from behind you
"They didn't give my son what I wanted so they must have the same fate"
You then would be thrown into the river but only if you have brown hair and if you were a male.

She is said to be searching for her son that died from abuse and the leader and her husband.

You see after she was drowned her husband wanted no trace of her so they abused and starved her son.

If you hear ten knocks on your door when it's raining
If you open the door you will come face to face witha beautiful woman with blonde hair and wearing a white wedding dress.
She will ask if you have seen a blonde haired boy and if you say "no" she will cry then and there

If you say "yes" she will hug you and ask where is he? If you lead her where he is she will give you luck and riches.

If you don't she will reach into your chest and take out your heart.

They say if she gets the blonde haired boy she will take him in as her own and when he gets older she will let him go and continue her search.

We then heard ten knocks on the door I went and opened the door.
There she was wearing the white wedding dress asking
"have you seen a blonde haired boy"
I told her "yes" and she said "where"

I lead her to my best friends house my best friend never liked her brother she was popular so it wasn't really a surprise.
When I got there I knocked her brother opened the door.
The woman then held out her hand and he looked at me confused I mouthed 'she will help you'.

He then took her hand and she lead him into the forest never to be seen again.

Yeah I made a happier ending to be honest I am proud of this one and I'd like to say that her best friend did abuse her younger brother and that the main character didn't know and she got the good luck and riches and the woman knew what he went through while he was there and she made it seem like his sister murdered him and she went insane  while in prison and later died. So a dark ending
