Forty years pass and Liana is set to wake up from her frozen sleep today. A team of five scientists gather in the room to discuss weather or not to wipe her memory because of possible hostility while one suggests she might've forgotten because of the Cryo-Sleep.
"You know how sleeping for so long can effect the brain. When she wakes up, before she gathers any memory test her and make her feel like we rescued her from the ship that crashed. We've rescued slaves from the Youtja before. Just make her think she is one and that's why we need her to translate."
Three of the five scientists nod in agreement but the main scientist, Valgor, son of the late scientist that froze Liana in the first place. Head man of this project. He speaks up saying, "we'll go with your plans Dr. Calvino for now. If she shows any signs we'll have to restrain her and make her work for us. We can't tap into her memories to make her remember what we want but we can brainwash her if need be."
He moves over to the tank holding Liana who has been floating and sleeping in amnionic fluid for four decades now. He touches the glass with both hands right over her chest area. He always liked her beauty and didn't want to tamper with her. Valgor always wanted to know the woman in the glass and now was his chance to pick up where his father left off and open his new toy then move on to the monster in the other room.
He steps back and turns around and smiles, "lay the bed down and lets birth her."
The other scientists start running their tests and thaw the freezing cold liquid that has been mostly frozen from day one. A slow drip and feed system that prolonged her youth and vigor. Unfortunately Liana would have no real strength for a while since she hadn't used her muscles at all for a long time but she's be able to regrow them with time and care.
The team lowers the bed and get to their consoles to get the system primed to receive her.
One female doctor, Dr. Rikes, a four foot tall older woman with a silver pixie cut hairdo. Her eyes are hazel and round behind thin black framed reading glasses. The nicest out of the group and head of medical staff. She reports saying, "connecting the vacuum to the base of the tank. Dr. Parker please start the tank rollback and thaw."
Doctor Parker was a younger man, bright orange hair, like a faded peach color and blue eyes. He was known and the Valgor suck up. Loved the man's work and everything about him. Not quite nice but not quite mean also. Would do something cruel though is asked by Valgor. He was the medical technician who was in charge of Dan and Shay, his two other medical techs who helped him and Valgor with any equipment that needed to be run or tests to be recorded. Shay was more of a scribe though and was recording this whole test by controlling a hovering sphere drone.
The bed now on its back on it supports and the vacuum connected, Liana's fluids which fed her and the same that she breathed was being drained while her tank ya swarming her. She coughed and choked up her tubes which ran fluids into her lungs and stomach. They were in her nose until now, held by a bit or harness strapped to her face that disconnected when the process started.
Her body went limp and the tank opened. Dr. Rikes yelled, "start a defibrillator on her and let's gets her back online. Watch for shock and trauma because there's bound to be some."
Dan got the equipment set up and then Parker used it. Here heart beat started up and her lungs sucked in air for the first time in forever. Parker has Dan take the defibrillator away and brought over a vacuum that was meant for fluid in Liana's nose and throat. He sucked it out and she coupled some more till she was able to breathe on her own. Everyone backed away right then as Valgor came over and scanned Liana with his arm tool. A watch like do ice with a small touch screen that could project in an open space what he wanted to show. Her scans showed everything was clear and she was ready to be moved to a room and bed. Her new home and quarters to be watched over and studied. The room that was next to the Youtja chamber with the sleeping Tank Blood next door.

Two days later Liana was still laying on the floor to a padded room. The doctors had her covered in a tearable cloth cocoon that kept her skin from drying and kept her warm. After waking up she felt tender and sore. For hours she struggled to open her eyes and look around but she'd fall asleep. Till the third day, she was still on the floor but this time she was leaning against the bed with Valgor in front of her giving her some medicated broth from a bag with a straw meant for tube feeding but seeing she could eat by drinking it he changed the flavor and let her take in food this way. Right now he was sitting in front of her while she had the blanket wrapped around her while she was sitting on the floor. She propped herself up and when feeding time came he decided to feed her himself instead of using the machine to drip food through her feeding tube.
Since she proved to him that she could drink broth the tube was to be removed later but for now he was watching her with a desire and satisfaction when it came to her sucking the broth out of the tube and swallowing. Really at first it was that he was proud of her for surviving and eating this soon even with as much help as she needed to the sounds of her swallowing and her pink lips that made him want for more if it wasn't for the cameras all over the room hidden in every corner.
Liana watched him too. Her eyes intensely staring into his with a sense of distrust and anger. She couldn't remember quite how she got to where she was or why she was so weak but she knew that this guy wasn't acting all quite there. She didn't know him but she didn't like him. It was a feeling and she learned to trust her feelings like these ones.

When the fourth day came it was time for Liana to bathe from being on the floor or trying to use the bathroom. The doctors came in and picked her up and put her on her bed while Dr. Rikes came in with some wet cleaning wipes and a change of clothes. Liana sat up on the bed with the help of pillows, even now she hadn't spoke to anyone, even when asked by other doctors or Valgor. They'd ask if she knew who she was or if she knew where.
Why would they ask that? If I got hurt my camera on my suit would show it and who asks if I know where I am like that. Like a trap.... like how much do I remember.. guess I'll play dumb. I don't like them. Liana was thinking while doctor Rikes was organizing and setting things out to use. She didn't like anyone except her.
She strained herself trying to get her voice out of her head and speak, "what happened to me?"
Rikes remembered what to say if she asked and stuck with the plan. She said, "we rescued you from a ship wreck and had to put you in a coma to heal you. You've been out for a week but you should be fine after you rest and build yourself back up."
Lies! I don't know what or why I don't trust them since I can't remember quite right but this isn't right! Liana thought but kept her cool and straight face. She looked away and nodded acting like she was more tired than she was.
What Liana wasn't saying also we about her dreams. Every time she'd fall asleep she'd have dreams of the Youtja she had seen in her childhood. She remembered studying them and their language from others who had been kept as pets then released. Old books and newspapers about them were a big part of Liana's studies as a kid. She new that one in the tank was here. She could remember but barely and didn't want to find out weather it was friend or foe. Youtja in tight spaces don't mix well and she didn't want to provoke it by being in a small room with it.
