I know for some this might be a bit of a slow romance but I'll get there. I don't want a cheap sex story but more of a good feeling about yourself and my characters story. A back story before the banging I guess.

Enjoy and Stay blood thirsty!!!

It was the next day at mid day of the attack of the spiders nest and the Bad Blood.  Synsyn was patrolling the camp while Liana laid resting one her hammock that Synsyn covered with a giant fern leaf and to keep her shaded. He also made sure she looke more hidden in while he scouted around. If you walked by you couldn't see her body heat and she looked like a bunch of vines draping over a tree. The vines had lots of flowers which covered her scent, Synsyn grabbed them from another tree and draped them there. The whole thing made for a very comfortable shelter for Liana and also blocked any chilly winds that were starting to pick up.

On his walk around camp he was picking some fruits from high in a tree that Liana had told him tasted like the best peaches she'd ever had. He knew she loved them and they provided a lot of energy when you ate them. Something that Liana really lacked right now.
While in the tree Synsyn looked around trying to spot prey for later when he saw something that caught his eye. There not far in the mountain was a cave. And by the looks of it, a big one and deep.

Ah! We can stay there for when it gets cold. What she calls winter is coming and we can shelter there! High and strong shelter. It's perfect. He thought and climbed down bringing the fruit and herbs he found to camp.

Flowers from the 'peach' tree made a tea from the hot spring that Liana loved and when you added the juice from the peach tasting fruit it made a nice energy drink like tea. Parker scanned it once and said that it helped clean the liver and intestines which was why you felt so good after drinking it. Liana called it her detox cocktail when she added fruit juice she fermented.

Synsyn didn't ferment any fruit juice but made a hot tea for Liana to drink and made a salve with the herbs the way she taught him how. He dressed her head already but his batch this time was for his shoulder. It was till stiff and sore when he used it for climbing. It was enough to make him not want to fight and hunt also.
He dressed his should and put the salve he made and some leaves over the wound then grabbed the canteen with the tea over to Liana. He entered her little teepee he made from the vines and hugged in her hair and tickled her ear with his mandibles. She giggled in her sleep and woke up. Her eyes met his glowing yellow ones and she asked, her voice still hoarse, "where've you been? Fighting more monsters?"

He huffed and shook his head, "only fight tree for fruit. Made you tea." He then showed her the canteen and helped her up. She sat up and he fluffed some hides he made for a pillow. She leaned back and took a sip of her tea then after swallowing she brightened up and said, "peach tea. My favorite. You even added the fruit." She giggled and looked at him smiling trying to not sway from feeling dizzy.

Synsyn shrugged and said, "easy. No big deal."

She took another drink but this time she took her time and then said, "but how are you?"

"I'm fine. You rest." He said while swirling some of her hair in his fingers. He let her hair go then asked if she needed anything. Liana finished her tea and gave the canteen back saying no so he walked out land covered her hammock over with the vines again.

He decided not to tell her about the cave before he scouted it out first. Better to see if it's worth mentioning before lifting her spirits. Right now he noticed how fragile she was.

                                          ~.~.~

The next morning Synsyn made sure Liana was warm and asleep before he left for the cave. He left her rifle next to her hammock along with two extra magazines loaded.

I'll have to craft a weapon worthy of her, he thought but first was exploring what looked like a good spot for a home.

Synsyn grabbed the whip, which he cleaned and fixed, and put it on his leather belt. He still wore part of his suit Liana got for him but he modified it to suit himself. The shoulder straps he left buttoned but laying loose around his hips and wore the jumper like pants while his torso he only wore a harness that he placed his knife in its holster on his chest and leather wrist guards that had dangling straps that were used to fasten and tighten. He left the loose parts when Liana said that he looked cool like a cowboy with them frayed like that. His lower legs or calves he had the same kind of leather guards but he also had sheaths for crystal throwing knives he made from the strong crystals that grew on some of the rocks by the lake. It seemed that by standing water in rocks would form these crystals when it got cold. Rocks that didn't have enough would break for some reason due to water freezing in cracks.

All dressed and packing his weapons Synsyn took to the trees and scouted his route to the cave from a high pine like tree.

He found a path in the trees that would take him close and so he left from tree to tree till he couldn't anymore. He kept quiet as he ran through the trees. Every time he did go out he used that time as a training exercise. Stealth, agility and strength were always being honed and strengthened in him. He loved how a good experience or hunt made him feel alive. The timing, the danger, the harder the task was the more he felt happy he did it and conquered whatever it was.

At the end of the tree line Synsyn stayed up high looking around. There were a few horse heat signatures and some ape like creatures in the trees eating fruits and soft leaves in the trees close by. None of the animals noticed Synsyn yet except a few birds that moved out of the way when he landed in his pitch.
Synsyn chittered to himself like he would when he was thinking. Half hearted Youtja speech would come out of it from time to time.

He saw that the coast seemed clear and so he decided to climb down from the trunk of the tree he was on. He left the animals alone and stuck to the tall ferns keeping out of sight and down wind. When he climbed higher in the mountain and reached the peak where the cave was he climbed one last giant rock and made it to the cliffs edge of the cave. He stood there at the edge and took in the sight of it and tasted the air. He could smell an animal was inside but couldn't recognize what kind and if was dangerous or not.

He smirked hoping for another fight.
