Tank Borne

Part 9: the deal is...

Looking into the glass Liana saw Parker. He stood up against the wall looking at the Youtja. His eyes never leaving Syn's orange glowing orbs. If hostility had a taste and scent Syn-syn reeked of it. Not that's a bad smell, in fact Liana liked it. Reminded her of good liqueur and hops that had a hint of herbal spices when he was upset like he was. Liana noticed that when he was like this his colors and stripes would glow slightly and his eyes would glow a brighter orange color instead of mellow pastel yellow.

She swallowed and opens the door. Parker looks at her now and opens his mouth showing his teeth and disgusted look on his face. He spits on her right cheek and Liana reels back to wipe it off. Syn grabs Parker by the neck and Liana then quickly grabs Syn's left arm and yells, "no! You can't kill him!"
Syn yells back in almost like a barking tone, "watch!"

But he doesn't kill Parker but instead holds him close to his face then actually makes a bark at him. Syn-Syn's own spit is sprayed on Parker's face.
He closed his eyes when Syn spit on him making a "ew ew" sound. Syn was happier withh that and dropped him on his feet. Parker reels back against the wall and yells at Liana, "let me go and the company will let you go."

She smiled and steps closer, she punches Parker on the nose and Parker goes down after screaming from pain then sits up looking at Liana. She crouches down to his level and says, "not smart to be yelling at me when Syn's here. I don't control him like you guys thought you could."

"He that thing killed everybody! It's a monster not a human!"

Liana frowned and yelled at Parker after grabbing his coat, "that's what they do is hunt us and fight! You don't think for a second it's not harmful to have a Youtja around? They're the intimate hunter." She slams his head to the floor hitting his nose again then let's go to say calmly, "I remember being on the team that found him. I remember finding the tank and everything now that I've had time to think. You guys froze me. Why?!"

Parker is silent as he thinks, he sits up straighter and answers, "you were frozen a long time ago because we knew so little of the creatures and needed a guide. Something to go on. Plus you'll die if you don't see a doctor or go back. You have cancers in your digestive track. I heard it from Rikes on why you were frozen. If you worked with us we would have saved you but you're a cowered and a traitor not me!!!" He got angry and yelled at her.
Liana couldn't react because of the news she could be dying. She knew she had problems with what she ate and that she could be sick but she thought it was the change from being earth born to being in space or stress.

There's no hope for me... but I can still help Syn-Syn get back to his people or find a planet that's a hunting ground. Something to keep him safe. She thought calmly while Parker was going on about her being a traitor.

She snapped out of her thoughts and told Parker, "shut the fuck up! His before I smack you again or have the Youtja do it..." she sighs "now. You can have the shuttle all to yourself if you point us to a planet that Youtja hunt on. Do you know how to maybe find them?"

Parker stares at her then up at Syn-Syn then off to the wall next to him, "I'm not quite sure but might've seen something about a place when we were studying about them but we'd never make it!"
Now he was panicking so Liana had to calm him down and tell him to shut up. When he calmed down but was looking at his shoes now Liana spoke up, "then we find a place that can serve as a base or a new home. If you're trouble Syn will kill you or if you attack me I'll flush you from the airlock."

"Are you going to leave me in here the whole time? I'm hungry and have to go to the bathroom real bad!" He whined and complained.

Liana got up and looked at Syn then back at Parker and said, "I'll let you go to the bathroom and clean up but then your back in here till I think I can trust you."

Parker wasn't happy about it but kept his mouth shut and just shook his head up and down.

Liana said, "good. Now let's get you to the bathroom. I'll serve food when you're back here." Parker just looked down and followed her, cursing inside his head and panicking inside.

Syn could smell his fear and didn't trust him. His mind was foggy though because since getting out of the tank his body fed off his fat reserves and he was starting to feel thin and hungry. Also he needed sleep so whatever this female was doing he wished she would hurry.

When Parker was taking a shower Liana came over to Syn who was smelling and tasting the air in front of the food supplies. Liana felt bad like she hadn't fed her overly large and protective puppy.

"Here let me find some dried meat. I think you guys eat raw meat and well maybe fruit but I'm not sure." She said and opened the supplies and found dehydrated steaks and other pre made  and dried foods.

"Okay then we have some steaks for you and me and Parker will just be eating veggies and premades for now till we get somewhere else." She said pulling food out for the three of them. She put the meat first in the rehydration system then handed it over to Syn who just took it and smelled it at first before staring at Liana like what the hell!
Liana felt stupid and said, "sorry. Okay maybe I'll heat them up a bit like freshly killed."
She put them in the rehydration system but set it to heat set it to heat them at 100 degrees. When it was done she picked them up and put them on a plate to hand over to him.
Syn looked at them on the plate when Liana handed it to him. He sniffed them again and decided that it was perfect for now and started eating them. Moving on Liana then rehydrated her food and Parker's.

There want much on the pre made platters so it didn't take long for Liana to eat then take two blankets and a spare pillow to the airlock for Parker. When he was out of the shower he was allowed to eat in the mess room and then go back into his space on the ship. Liana made sure to lock the airlock button so no one could bump it and shoot him into space before putting in the code now on the control panel. She did it while Syn-Syn was eating so only she knew the code.

Settled in his spot and sat on one  blanket then wrapped himself in the other. He also was wearing a uniform too which provided more warmth than the lab suit he was wearing.

Later Liana went to the cockpit and searched the map for a split system they could jump to and a planet that they could land on if they had the fuel for it.
