Chapter 5

Courtney's POV:

Nick was about to walk inside, but I just stayed frozen in my place.

He tried pulling me by the forearm, by I resisted it.

He sighed,"Cour come on."

I gave in and followed closely behind him.

Once we walked through the door, I saw what I was expecting.

Lots of people, mostly from school.

There were couples making out like there was no tomorrow, a crowded dance floor, and the music was unbearably loud.

I think the worst part was all the joints being passed around, and the red cups everywhere that were most likely containing alcohol.

We were in the middle of the living room and I had already lost sight of Nick.

I tried looking everywhere for him, but no luck was on my side.

I then sighed out of relief when I saw my friends Leanna and Amber sitting next to each other.

I ran over to them and they both looked up from their phones.

"COURTNEY!" They both yelled an shot up from their seats and embraced me in a hug.

I laughed. "I missed you guys, even though I saw Amber kissing my annoying brother like a few weeks ago."

She gives me a death glare.

"Aw. Love you Am." I say.

They just laugh.

We start talking about random things, but are interrupted by two jocks.

"Hello girls. Can we offer you any drinks?" One of then ask with a smirk.

"Yeah. Once you get a life and stop hitting on us." Leanna laughs.

They give up and walk away.

"Idiots." Leanna and I say.

I get up from the chair and quickly run to the bathroom.

Once I get back, only Leanna's their.

I give her a confused look.

"Am had to go home." She says reading my mind.

I just shrug and we just talk about who we like.

Lee just starts rambling about how much she likes my brothers band mate, Calum. I could definitely see them together.

Ever since I introduced them to each other, Leanna has liked him. I'm pretty sure Cal likes her too.

Leanna's phone rings, interrupting us.

"Umm....Hello." She answers slightly nervous.

Even though the music is blaring, I could her someone yelling at her.

"Mom-I can ex-No! Why would- okay! God Mom! Okay bye!" She yells.

"Let me guess. You lied to her about where you were going. Didn't you?" I guess.

"Yep." Leanna says popping the 'p' at the end.

I laugh. "You're so fucking predictable all the time."

She laughs too.

"Look. I have to go now, or my mom will start World War three with me." She groans.

"Yeah go before that happens. I'll just go and try and find Nick again. I'll see you on Monday Lee." I say.

"Good luck." She wishes me.

I hug her gently and disappears out of my sight.

I sigh and try and go find Nick.

This should be fun.

It's all ready midnight and I've had no luck whatsoever.

This isn't a big house, but then again, it's Nick we're talking about here.

I decided to check the upstairs one more time.

I try to check all the bedrooms, but all of them are locked. Wow. Shocking. (note the sarcasm.)

I finally find a bedroom that's tucked away.

It's surprisingly unlocked, so I walk in.

It's empty, so I breathe out.

The room is at least 2 times bigger than mine.

It's painted a cream color with dark hardwood flooring.

It's really nice. I plop myself on the bed and take out my phone and charger.

Yes. I carry an emergency charger around. Don't judge me.

I plug it into the outlet and then I plug the end part into my phone.

I then decided to look around the room.

There was a massive walk in closet with nothing but a few shirts hanging up in it.

I then spotted another door, so I opened it.

I jumped back in shock. Nick was sitting on the toilet with tear stained cheeks.

"Nick. Oh my gosh. What the hell happened?" I asked and sat on the floor in front of him.

"Nicolette. That's what happened." He mumbled.

"What did she do?" I asked.

He looked up at me with red, and puffy eyes.

"She cheated on me Cour. She cheated on me." Nick sniffled.

"I'm so sorry Nick." I sad getting off my knees and hugging him.

He was about to speak, but I already beat him to it.

"Does a bitch need to be slapped?" I say trying to hold back my laughter.

Nick cracks a smile. "No. Someone might have already did that."

I give him a shocked look.

"No no. Not me silly." He says in his 'duh' voice.

"Then who?" I asked now more interested than before.

"Okay so first off, I was trying to find her because I needed to ask her something. I checked up here and I found a room that was unlocked. I walked in expecting it to be vacant, but I saw Nicolette making out with Troy Delson. I had cleared my throat and she saw me. Nicolette had pushed him off her and started explaining how 'it wasn't what it looked like' and she was sorry. But ready for the best part", he said.

I nodded my head, and Nick continued. "Troy goes, 'I thought you told me you guys broke up'. So she was basically cheating on me for the last 6 months. I gave her an exciting a year and a half, and she acts like nothing ever happened. So now she's single. Oh and Troy got so mad, that he slapped her across the face. Him and I high-five'd after that and left her speechless."

By now we were both smiling. On the inside, I was mentally cheering because finally, I had Nick back.

I'm not trying to sound selfish, or anything, but when Nick was with her, he wouldn't act himself. And that was all the time. So, I finally had my Nick the Dick back.
