I continued to daydream and next thing I knew, we were at a stop. I paused and waited for dad (Neil) to get out of the car so I could get out without hurting myself, the last thing we need is me going BACK to the hospital. Neil let me out of the car and lead me to the door, then went back to grab my bags. I rung the doorbell and stood there, waiting for a response.

As I stood there awkwardly, I heard three things. Two people arguing and one trying to break up the fight, I stayed quiet and leaned against dad trying to hear what these people were arguing about

"WHY IS A SINNER LIKE HER WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE?!" Screamed one girl, she was talking about me... I'm a sinner? Since fucking when? I live my life happily and I am NOT a female... That voice sounded familiar though...

"Tiffany we've been over this! It was talk about pedophilia, there is nothing against homosexuals in that Bible. I can show you again if you need me to!!" I heard Travis say, he was cool as hell. Two daughters and a single dad. I respected that, a lot actually.

I heard the door open and a familiar voice, "Hey, Ivan! Welcome to the Phillips household.... Don't mind the yelling... Tiffany is well.."

'That makes more since' I thought, nodding. "Come on in though, Neil you can come in too. Dad made some cookies and we have drinks too!" I let Neil bring me inside, he sat me down in the Living room I guessed. Travis's house always smelt good, he baked cooked a lot and he was always amazing at it. I remember when I woke him up at like three in the morning just so he'd make me breakfast! It was fun and afterwards I'd help clean dishes!

"Hey there, Ivan!" I heard Travis's voice and I felt the dumb ass smile on my face, "Hey, Trav! I missed you!" I said happily, trying to look at least where I heard his voice. "How have you been, other than getting hurt?" He asked, I could hear a bit of worry in his voice and I brushed it off.

"I've been okay, other than hearing father got into a concussion... I still kinda blame myself." I sighed, I heard Travis kneel in front of me, "It's not your fault bus, nothing you can control. He will be okay, he's much stronger than he looks." He took my hand and I smiled a bit

"Yeah, I guess I'm just scared. This whole thing is scary." He paused for a minute and it was quiet for a minute until we heard a loud thud, Travis ran upstairs and I just sat there confused as hell

"Neil, you okay?" I heard Travis say and then I heard dad's laughter, "Yeah! Just forgot how short you were-" I could feel the glare dad got from Travis and I died laughing, then I heard both dad and Travis laugh which made me laugh harder. This reminded me of the first time I met Travis, I was about 7? Well, I was small enough to be picked up that's for sure. Travis was nice and made jokes around me, hell he even went so far as to play dress-up with me and shit. When I was scared to walk cause I always bumped into things, he'd carry me. Didn't matter if he was carrying something or not. He'd put it down and pick me up and take me to the place I wanted to go.

I finally decided to stand up and I took my blind stick thing so I wouldn't hit anything. I let myself into the kitchen where Tracy and Tiffany apparently were. I heard Tiffany picking and teasing Tracy but I didn't really hear what about, I sat at the kitchen table and they realized I was there and just stopped talking, no noise. It was creepy...

"Hey there, Ivary." I heard Tiffany say and I cringed, nobody but her called me by my deadname and I hated it. "Be nice, Tiffany.... He's been through enough.." I heard Tracy say a bit hesitantly, it's like she was scared of her sister and that's concerning...

"Like I give a fuck, she can beg on her knees for all I care. Nothing makes her a man, nothing." Tiffany said harshly, honestly that hurt me. I didn't say anything, I had to process, "Didn't you hear me, freak. You're NEVER going to be a man-"

"Tiffany, that's enough. Ivan is our guest, you can be mean to me all you want and we will disagree on things and you will NOT treat him the way you are." I heard Travis say in an angry, frustrated and hurt tone. I understand the hurt, he was watching his own daughter pick on a blind, trans male with a religion he believed in. Travis is Christian and he's proud of it and he's not like Tiffany, he uses it to help not harm. Another thing I loved about him, he didn't like fighting and never did. Even when he did fight he hated it...

I heard Tiffany mumble something under her breath and leave the room, I heard Tracy's footsteps get closer and I started blushing.... Fuck

"Tiffany isn't right, you know. You are a guy, your name is Ivan. I think you're a pretty cool guy as well." She said this and I nodded, taking in everything she said. I never got complimented before, other than Sally and Soda nobody even liked me or looked at me. I was like the plague of our school, everyone avoided me.

Well everyone except for Tracy. She was popular too, everyone loved her. She didn't care what others had to say about Sally, Soda and I. She still hung out with us, it was ironic.

"Thank you.." I managed to say, smiling a bit. I then felt her... Hug me...? I hugged back, a bit confused. "No, thank you." She said, making me even more confused. She was thanking me...? Why? I didn't do anything special hell, I didn't do anything at all.... Other than get beat up and be grateful for the good people in my life.

I was about to ask why but then Travis said, "Cookies are done!!" I laughed and stayed seated, hearing dad's footsteps coming to the room "How many do you want, Ivan?"

"Three?" I asked, he patted my back and went to get the cookies and I smiled, humming while waiting and listening to everything around me, lets see... Dad and Travis talking, Tracy sitting next to me and a TV upstairs on, guessing it was Tiffany watching TV to stay away from me.

We all talked about plans we had this year, things we had planned for the summer and Travis then started talking about Tracy's embarrassing moments and dad brought up mine so we just sat there and listened, being embarrassed as all the hell.

After the embarrassment dad hugged me goodbye and Travis, Tracy and I played board games and talked about life. Turns out I get my own room while staying with Travis, honestly not surprised his house is pretty big-ish? From what I could tell at least, I might be wrong-

By the time we were done being silly it was about 3-4 in the morning. I was still hyper so Travis said that Tracy and I could hang out in my room and watch TV. So, that's what happened.
