For a while, everyone stayed in this uncomfortable silence, sometimes someone would say a thing or two to alleviate the ambiet silence, but it always failed, making it even more uncomfortable.
Red couldn't care less, all she was focused on right now was staying awake, she wasn't gonna take a chance and see if at the middle of her nap Viddako tried anything funny, like tearing her heart out. She would ocassionally tilt her head, falling asleep for a few seconds before promptly waking up. It would get a laugh or two from the others but that was just about it.
A few hours later, the control panel started to beep uncontrollably and flickering lights gave the whole space a scary atmosphere. June quickly let go of Arty and sat down in the pilot chair.
"Shit shit shit shit!" She said, frantically searching what was going wrong. Her fingers quickly tapped on various buttons and surfaces and the loud beeping noise stopped. The lights kept on flickering though.
"Well FUCK!" June shouted, not caring about her profanity whatsoever.
"Uh-oh." Artyom said.
"Uh-oh? What do you me 'uh-oh'?!" Lin asked, starting to panic.
The boy ignored her.
"Uh, June, do you think this ship can handle another crash?"
"ANOTHER?!"
"I think you guys broke something!" June responded. Well, shit, this day just got better and better.
The ship was quickly losing height, already being in range of the nearest planet's gravity field.
"BRACE YOURSELVES GUYS!" June shouted while holding onto the controls to pull up the ship as much as possible.
"We're gonna have to make a crash landing!"
It all went by so quick it gave the others barely any time to react, what first started as some beeping noises became an horrible orquesta of doom, aunnouncing just how fucked they were.
The ship was rushing through the clouds of this unknown planet. A few seconds later, it reached the trees. Everyone was screaming, feeling their stomachs in their chests and their hearts in their throat. It was complete chaos. All of them were holding on for dear life on whatever was available. June did her best to keep the ship as straight as possible.
"HERE WE GOOOO!!" She yelled, as the trees scraped the sides with horrifying sounds.
As the ship rapidly descended, Artyom had to fight the urge to pull June out of the chair and shield her with his body - she needed to try and land, after all.
Red grabbed her seat as hard as she could, cussing loudly as she left a dent on it with her hard grip. Lin clung to her for her dear life when she began to hear the trees scraping the hull.
Red realized that neither June or her blue friend had the luck of 'wearing' their seatbelt. She fumbled with the ropes in her hands and just in the nique of time she managed to break free and grab Lin so she wouldn't bounce around the spaceship like a ball.
Then, just as she felt like the worst part was over, the whiplash she felt as they stoped made her feel like her head was about to tear off at any second, thankfully it didn't. Red was a strong gal and all but she was growing tired to this kind of situations. As soon as she was set free from her other binds, she grabed the back of her neck with a loud "AAUch".
Lin was still paralyzed after that final thud, so much so that Red had to practically pry her off."Come on, we have to go." June said.
"Coming. . ." Red said, hard-pressed, getting up from her seat, accompanied by Lin.
