It was the best thing she could come up with. For Lin it was quite easy due to her average stature but for Red it was gonna be quite the task. Even if she ducked, with her white skin colour she stood outfrom the brown and green tints for some miles if you had like, regular good eyesight.
Niko was generally in a good shape but it was a little harder with Stella's extra weight on his shoulders. He zigzagged between the trees to avoid being shot. Because yeah, they were definitely shooting. He hid behind a particularly big tree.
"Stella, close your eyes."
Niko whispered, upon which they both disappeared. He hoped the others were okay getting away, Stella and him had it relatively easy being able to just disappear like that.
June and Arty were running as fast as they could, since the majority of the savages had apparently chosen to chase after them for no good reason. June was a little slower than Arty and already breathing heavily.
"A-Arty, hold on."
June huffed stretching out a hand towards him. Her cheeks were flushed pink, way too much to only be from the running. She forgot to take her medicine and was burning up again.
"Man how I... wished I could just... turn you invisible... along with me."
She said, taking breaks inbetween the words to catch her breath. Artyom was having trouble deciding what to do himself. On one hand, he wanted to stay close to June and protect her; on the other, he could easily take care of himself, and she'd be 100% safe if she could just turn herself invisible. That last thought made him pause, however. "June. Niko - can he turn invisible? Even with his demon making him glow randomly? Because if Viddako's anything to go by..." June, stupid stupid June had tripped once again and landed face first in the dirt. "Oompf-" Art quickly helped her up and they continued running.
He was just about ready to tell her to hide so that he could just sprint through the jungle to save them. She had just found her family - he wouldn't let her lose them again.
"He can. Stella too." June said, running next to him again. Her face was glowing pink, and sweating now too. She really wasn't looking to good.
"Alright, none of that." Artyom declared.
Suddenly, the boy grabbed hold of June and broke into a sprint. Not the gentle, brisk run from where they first met - this time he ran like he meant it, and it was fast enough that it even got windy for his girlfriend.
After running at full speed for several minutes, Artyom would slow down and seem... winded, for the first time ever. He carefully put June back down and put his hands on his knees, coughing. "A-Alright... If any of the savages managed to keep up, I'll give them a fucking medal."
June looked bewildered. "That was amazing but- do you still know where we are? Like what way the ship is?" She asked, a bit concerned. She sat down and pulled Arty down with her too. Tired from the fever she rested her head on his shoulder. Arty was concerned, her temperature was way too high. She wrapped her arms around him tightly. Warm and lovely.
"That's a little redundant to ask, June. Yes, I am lost - but I can just find them again by scent, eventually. Everyone's probably really sweaty from running." He explained, before being pulled down by the girl and used as a pillow. He wrapped an arm around her for a brief moment, then frowned.
"Are you feverish again? I thought that that medicine Lin gave you had worked..."
June sighed. "It had, it really had. But She told me I have to take it again each day and I haven't yet had the chance to do that today." She explained. "Don't worry too much, I'm a big girl, I can handle it. I'm sure... it'll be over in no time." June had paused midsentence to let out a jawn. It wasn't the first time that Arty noticed June got tired quickly after getting out of stressful situations. It was probably because there were a lot of them and she was sleeping really irregularly nowadays.
