I walked down the stone streets of my kingdom, waving hello and stopping to talk to my people. I came to a old Liscan playing an odd game. Oh, I almost forgot. You don't know what a Liscan is. Well, a Liscan is a a species that is a sort of humanoid lizard person.  They have long or short horns on the back of their heads and sharp claws on their hands. Their scales are usually one of any color there is, but some have been known to be able to use camouflage. Their necks are longer than most and snouts narrow. Their height range from 5'11 to 6'5 on average. They are usually lightweight with long tales. Their fangs are serrated and they can breath through their scales when underwater. They can live up to 150 years.

Well, this old Liscan was named Ot'owe. He had greying scales  and was talking to one of the viejitas who lived in town. Her name was Maria. They both smiled and we talked about the game they played and what they've been up to in recent days.

That was when my sister, Juju 'the kicker', came to me. "The Giant of Elman's forest wants to talk to you," she said.

I nodded, saying my goodbyes to Ot'owe and Maria. I traveled by horse to Elman's forest where I found the rock giant standing mighty above me. I jumped off my horse and looked up at him. "What troubles you, old friend?"

"I'm scared," he said.

I smiled. "Why are you scared?" I asked, taking a seat in the green grass.

He sat with a loud thump, making the ground shake. "I'm terrified I'm a sociopath," he said. "I get so anxious that I might lose myself and hurt the people I love and that. . ."

He paused. "That I'll like it."

I nodded. "I know you're fear. You feel so protective of your loved ones that you fear that you, the protector, will be the one to do it."

He cried waters falls. "I keep seeing it and feeling like I have no control."

"You do have control," I said. "If you didn't, you would have done what you fear already. Hell, the fact that you fear doing this tells me you're the opposite of all that ugly stuff. "

I climbed up so I sat on his shoulder. "I built this kingdom from me, my heart and soul," I said before I looked away from the kingdom at him. "I never made a sociopath. We are not monsters, or murderers or any of that shit."

I pointed at him. "But I can only tell you that you're a good person. You have to believe it and trust me when I say it's gonna take time and practice. Others see you and know what good you have done. Those thoughts aren't you, it's you letting your fear get to you. You have to fight the good fight within you, but only you can do that."

I stood with energy rushing from my bones. "Remember who you are! You're the giant of Elman's forest, a sworn guardian of the green. No where in there did I hear murderer or sociopath. Remember that."

He smiled. "Thank you, might king."

"It'll be tough, fighting the fear in you. But fight we will and it'll be a fight we win."

He rose high, nearly touching the clouds. "I AM ME AND I AM IN CONTROL OF ME!" he shouted across my kingdom. "I CONTROL MY MIND! I CONTROL MY BODY! I CONTROL MY SOUL!"

I laughed. "Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Remember what you've done, not what you fear what you'll do. It never did anyone any good to ask what if."

From that day forward the Giant of Elman Forest was confident in himself, felt in control of himself and (most importantly) was only himself, not what he feared he would fear.
