Chapter 11

---Kiba---

It's been ages since I've talked to Kasumi. I don't know why or so much as how it got to me, but after that mission, seeing all those dead people... and knowing that Kasumi killed them. I don't know. It's...its just...I guess I don't know what to think.

I sighed as I slowly picked at my breakfast. I know she had to kill them but still. Does that mean I would have had to kill that many people? If I tried to save one life?

"Jezz," said Mom looking at me. "Gloomy again today huh? What the hell's up with you?" she asked.

"Oh I'm just wondering how the final exams are gona go today." I said simply.

"Oh I get it. You still pissed that you lost to Naruto aren't you?" 

An anime vein popped on my forehead but I ignored it and nodded.

Like hell I'm gona tell my mum about my girl problems!

---Kasumi---

I sighed as I slumped on the couch. It's been agggeeesss since Kiba talked to me. Guess I scared him off.

How's that for a story? Girlfriend scares off her boyfriend by killing an entire village! Hah! Oh god. I'm really depressed..

"Kasumi? Don't you need to go soon?" asked dad waving his hand in front of my face.

I slapped it away.

"I know! I'm just sooo tired!" I moaned. "Besides, when have you ever been on time for anything!?"

He sighed.

"Yeah but that's me. Besides, ninja's are supposed to be ready for anything. Epically an S ranked one like you who is in the bingo book."

"But still!" I said arguing. "I'm like 12! Why do I have to anbu the Chūnin exams when I should be participating in them!?"

He sighed while walking to the bathroom.

"You already know the answer to that. Now you better be gone by the time I'm done." he said before shutting the door.

I sighed. I guess I do have to go.

I got up, making sure to put on my anbu mask and get up before walking out the door.

What the hell am I doing!? I thought as I jumped from building to building. These are my last few weeks with Kiba before I have to go and I'm friken letting him ignore me like this!

I ran my fingers through my hair. I can't do this. I thought as I opened the door to the Hokage's office.

"Oh your here," he said with a smile as I made my way over to his desk.

I didn't say anything for a moment.

"Kasumi?" he asked worriedly.

"How...how can you smile at me like that?" I asked. "How can you seem so normal when we both know what is going to happen today?!"

Hiw smile dropped as he let out a sigh.

"Kasumi. I'm happy because I've lived a good life and meet many amazing people. Kasumi, I need to know right now, that you are going to do this, that you are going to make it and you won't fail." he said seriously.

I stared at him, right into his eyes, I could see the kindness of him, the pureness of his heart. I have to do this. As his last request.

I nodded.
