Ch 2

Namjoon's POV

"Sweetie. Wake up. Sweet heart."

I opened my eyes to see a blackish yellow duck on my chest. "Hello?" I asked. I don't even know why. "Good morning darling."

I looked around to still see the park, the bench, and the ducklings. "Oh god. It wasn't a dream."

"No it was not deary. I'm sorry for yelling at you but my babies come first. Now, what is your name?"

I looked at the mother duck. "Um my name's Namjoon." I watched as the duck nods her head. "Alright. Now, who do you live with. I think it's time for you to go home."

"How can it. It's only seven in.....the.....morning." I widen my eyes when I noticed the sky was dark, stars are shining. "Yes, but that was before you passed out."

Oh gosh, Jin Hyung's gonna kill me.

"Yes get out of here. You scare me." The same squirrel from the bench said. "Well, if only other humans we're like you. Then they'll know not to mess with my trees by climbing them."

"Oh hush up, go back to grabbing nuts. You nest breaker!"

"Ouch. That hurt." The squirrel coughed as he went back to his hole.

I watched as the squirrel jumped off the bench and climbed inside his tree.

"Don't mind him. Cheeks isn't a people person. He has anger issues, but he has a good reason to be."

I look at mother goose. What could have happened to the squirrel that was so bad?

"What happened?"

"Children raids his home during his winter food gathering. Takes all his food out and toss them everywhere. He's my neighbor so I try to help by biting the kids but their parents just kick at me. Last year, the same kids thought it would be funny to break my sister's eggs.......Her first batch of eggs she ever laid, were broken by those kids, the tall kids........she died of a broken heart."

I felt a small tear fall from my face. Animals have problems just as much as humans do.

"I'm so sorry."

"Oh hush darling. It's not your fault. Those kids got what they deserved but nothing is going to bring my sister back and her kids. What I wish, is that their was someone to speak for us animals."

I nod my. Wondering how her wish would .......

"No. I....."

"Please hunny. Just say something to the humans to stop messing with our schedules. We have to store food, warm our eggs, keep our family safe, do what we need to do to survive. People are taking our food, smashing our eggs, touching our chicks, and kicking us from protecting our children! Please, you are the only one who understands us. Please."

"I... I can't. I'm busy, I'm not going to be here for that long. I'm going to Texas next week. I can't be here longer than I have to. I'm an idol, I travel, I got concerts. And another thing. You know how weird it would be for me, an idol, talking to and for animals? I have a reputation to uphold for my team, who by the way, are more my family than teammates. I'm not going to get them into trouble because of my doing. So I'm sorry but I ca...."

"Mommy why is that man talking to a duck?"

I was interrupted by a small voice. A child. Damn it.

"Just keep walking. Don't look at him."

The kid's mother said. I watched as they walked away.

"Ma'am it's not what it looks like. I was just talking to myself not the duck."

"Yeah, I quack to when I talk to myself. Let's go Johnny."

"I wasn't quacking! I was!.... Wait was I quacking?" I asked mother goose.

"Honking but yeah. You make the sound the animal you're talking to. So, yes."

Great, now I'm a wack job!

"This is why I can't do it! I'm gone! Bye!"

I walked away from her. She kept honking profanities at me, who knew a goose could cuss. I didn't say anything though. I just pretend I didn't understand her.

5 minutes before~~
~~Someone's POV

I kept recording the scene in front of me. This will definitely get me a raise.

"HOOONK! HONK! HOONK!"

The goose responding to the boy makes this video really pop.

"HOOONK! HOOOOOONNK! HONK HINK HINKK! HONNK! HONK!"

The boy walks away as the goose keeps honking at him. I didn't stop recording though. This is HUGE!

I found him. Kim Namjoon. You are ours.
