“You broke up?” Li Jinzong looked at Li Weiyin in shock. As he furrowed his brows, he asked with concern, “Why did you break up?”

“He believed their words and went to find another woman,” Li Weiyin looked down, not wanting Li Jinzong to see her foggy eyes; she didn’t like revealing her weaknesses in front of her parents.

She knew that crying children always received candy, but she never tried to win pity with her tears.

“Rubbish!” Li Jinzong slammed the table beside him as his face turned pale in anger.

“Dad, you can’t lose your temper,” Li Weiyin quickly tried to comfort Li Jinzong. “I told you the truth because I didn’t want you to imagine things.”

Li Jinzong took a few deep breaths before he calmed down. As he looked at the daughter that cared about him, pain appeared in his eyes, “Your mother and sister did the wrong thing, but I guess it’s a blessing that you saw the real him.”

Li Weiyin understood what Li Jinzong was trying to say. He didn’t want her to hate Fang Meixian and Li Weixin because of this matter. In the past, she may have compromised. But, she had already compromised too much and was tired.

“Dad, I don’t want to face them anymore,” Li Weiyin said with honesty. “That’s why I’ve decided to marry into the Xu Family.”

“Yinyin, marriage is not a game,” Li Jinzong tried to dissuade Li Weiyin. “Don’t make a hasty decision. I will find a solution to the company’s problem. I can’t give you much, so I can’t be a burden as well and make you sacrifice everything.”

“Dad, have you thought about what would happen to our family if we go bankrupt?” Li Weiyin asked.

Li Jinzong fell silent.

“I grew up in the mountains and I’ve spent the last few years exploring. I’ve never worried about strong wind nor bad food. A little suffering does not scare me. But, what about them?” Li Weiyin looked at him quietly. “If our family goes bankrupt, do you think they’d be willing to suffer with you?”

Fang Meixian lied when she said that she took care of Li Weiyin wholeheartedly before Li Weixin was born. Li Weiyin had actually lived with her maternal grandmother in the countryside until she was 5.

After she was 5, she was brought back to accompany her paternal grandparents. Then, when she was 7, her paternal grandmother passed away and she was finally brought home. ,

Just because she was young and no one mentioned it again, did they really think she forgot about it?

“Yinyin, I know you are prejudiced against your mother and sister, but they are simply a little too pampered. Your mother grew up through a lot of hardship as well,” Li Jinzong didn’t agree with the way that Li Weiyin viewed Fang Meixian and Li Weixin.

But, Li Weiyin smiled and said, “Let’s leave it at that. I’ve already made an appointment with Mrs. Xu. I may be a wild child, but I’m also used to living the good life.”

After she spoke, Li Weiyin went to wash the food container without paying attention to Li Jinzong’s cries.

If the Li Family went bankrupt, Fang Meixian would probably have no plans in the short term, but she was definitely going to develop some ideas as time passed. After all, she was already used to living a rich and luxurious life.

As for Li Weixin, Li Weiyin couldn’t predict what she would do.

If that were to happen, Li Jinzong would not be able to handle the blow. And, even if he was to withstand it, he would regret his decision today.

Rather than letting his family fall apart and having him hate her, it was better for her to use this opportunity to pay back everything she owed.

“Li Weiyin.” Just as Li Weiyin finished washing up, someone called her from behind.

She turned around and saw a tall figure standing amidst the darkness of the night.

He was wearing a white cloak and his uniform was neatly ironed, making his body look extra slender and tall. Meanwhile, his short and fine black hair fluttered slightly in the wind.

His facial features were warm and gentle, and a slight smile clung to his lips as he emitted a comfortable and friendly vibe.
