After their activities in the shower, Jimin tries to convince Scarlett to stay, but she wouldn't budge. She was never one to overstay her welcome.
Deciding not to try and wake Yoongi, Jimin decides to drive her home instead. He led her outside to a sleek, black Mercedes and helps her inside, much like Yoongi did the first night she'd spent with him.
"You guys are such gentlemen," she compliments, surprised that she hadn't come across anyone disrespectful in their "crew."
"It's the least we can do," Jimin answers, looking over as if he wanted to say something.
Deciding not to push it, she asks if he's familiar with the Gardens, the neighborhood she stayed in and he nods, speeding away from the mansion. This makes Scarlett jolt a little in shock, but then let out a little giggle.
"Somehow, I figured you were a fast driver," she says.
"There's no fun in driving slow. So mundane," he tsks, a smile spreading over his face as he presses his foot down harder on the gas.
Scarlett watches the lights pass by in blurs, barely paying attention to the speed. Then she shifts her focus to Jimin, who was surprisingly already looking at her.
"What are you doing? Eyes on the road dude," she screeches, making him chuckle but obey anyways.
"You don't care what Yoongi does...what we do. Why?" he asks, watching her through his peripheral to gauge her reaction to the question.
Most women that found out or even suspected Yoongi's line of work ran for the hills and didn't look back. He couldn't really blame them either. Settling down with a mob boss was a particularly risky lifestyle that not everyone was suited for or could handle.
"Let's just say I've been around enough gangsters to know one when I see one. The area I grew up in was crawling with them. As a result, I learned how to handle myself in dangerous situations. It doesn't scare you when it's all you know. That's why I'm on a need to know basis with Yoongi. We're just having fun so I don't need to know his business and he doesn't need to know mine," she explains, choosing her words carefully.
She'd hoped he caught the note of finality at the end of her explanation. The last thing she'd wanted was for him to start asking questions she couldn't give the answers to. She didn't ask Yoongi things she didn't want him to ask her things in return. She wasn't a fan of lying, but she also wasn't comfortable volunteering the fact that she was second in line to take over one of the biggest crime organizations in all of North America.
She keeps her expression neutral as she studies him, satisfied when she didn't see any alarm or suspicion in his expression.
"It's less messy that way. I like it...but I also know that he likes you a lot more than he lets on; and that's what makes this dangerous. Both Yoongi and I are very cautious, but if the wrong person sees us together, that puts a target on your back. You should at least know that if you continue seeing him...or me," he says, his jaw flexing at some points, making it look razor sharp.
"Thanks for telling me this. Most women that end up involved in this lifestyle don't have a choice; so it's really cool of you to be honest like this. I think I'll take my chances though. Like I said, it's all I know and my life would be incredibly boring without at least a little danger," she says, chuckling softly at the end.
It wasn't like Scarlett looked for danger or anything, but she also didn't back down from it. She liked the rush that came with danger. It made her feel alive. She had practically been born with a target on her back, but had never truly felt like she was in danger until the kidnapping and murder of her mother. It wasn't a good feeling then, but the extensive training she'd gone through taught her to turn those feelings of fear and uncertainty into focus and aggression.
"You are one interesting woman, Miss Scarlett," Jimin smirks, shaking his head.
"I'd say the same for you, but I don't know much of anything about you," she jokes.
"Didn't you say you liked to be on a need to know basis?" he teases, his tone light and airy.
"I'm not asking for your life story dude, just basic shit. Here, I'll start. My name is Scarlett Destiny and I'm 23 years old, 24 in Korean age. My favorite colors are black and pink and I'm a Gemini. See, I just gave you four basic facts about me. Easy peasy," she says, playfully smirking at the red haired man.
"Okay, okay, since you're dying to know. I'm Park Jimin and I'm also 24. My favorite colors are red and black and I think I'm a Libra. We don't really dabble in astrology much here," he replies, smiling over at her.
"Ah, I didn't know that. Astrology is so big in America; I thought it was just as known everywhere else. Interesting," Scarlett trails off as the approached the gates outside her neighborhood.
She keys in her code and the gates open with a loud clanking noise, closing back after Jimin drove through. She gave him directions and he drove slowly this time, savoring the sound of her voice as she talked. Soon enough, they arrived outside the gates to her house.
"Well, Miss Scarlett, this is your stop. We'll save that astrology discussion for next time. It was nice to meet you...and taste you," he says, leaning over the console to place a tender kiss on her lips.
Scarlett closes her eyes and kisses back, enjoying the feeling of his soft, plump lips on hers. Not allowing herself to get completely caught up in the kiss, she pulls away teasingly and places her index finger on his lips.
"Until we meet again Park Jimin," she says, smirking smugly before gracefully climbing out of the car and into the warm air.
"Until then" he whispers to himself as he watched her disappear into her home.
A/N : Surprise, surprise. I'm up right now cooking because my brother is a brat and decided to drop this chapter 💜
