I  was sleeping when i heard a knock on the door, i slowly open my eyes to look at the door

"come in" i said croaky the door opened to reveal a vampire maid

"hello miss crystal im here to prepare you for the ball" she said coming in with a few more vampire maids each holding a box and one came in with a Red Chiffon Strapless Hi-Low Prom Dress my mouth went dry as i looked at that beautiful dress

"wait what ball?" i asked confused they smiled

"its the ball for your arrival" she said as she pulled me out of the bed hurrying me to the bathroom to get a shower i was in shock as i was thrown into the bathroom a ball for me? oh my...i jumped into the shower cleaning well when i was done i came out in a towel and the maids started to pretty me up an hour and half later i heard the main maid announce i was done

"you look beautiful miss crystal" she said i smiled

"just call me crystal" i said turning to the full length mirror then i froze i didnt recognize this beautiful woman standing there looking back at me

"our work here is done" chirped another maid

"t-thank you" i stuttered looking at them feeling like crying, i have never ever knew that i could be this beautiful they smiled a warm smile and nod

"ok ok now shoo we dont want her make up to get ruin" said the main maid as she shoo the others out she turned to me and smiled

"im gonna escort you to the ball room" she said i nod

"wait...i didnt get your name" i said looking at her and she looked shocked

"Stacy...my name is Stacy" she said smiling

"please dont take offence to this but you are different" she said looking at me worriedly i laughed and looked at her

"ofcourse im human" i said amused she just smiled and nod

"lets go?" she asked and i nod

"lead the way Stacy" i said hooking my arm to hers then we walked out, we walked to the huge doors were two men stood in black suits i felt my heart beat faster and my palms sweating

"i can hear you heart beat" Stacy said and i looked at her

"calm down...its gonna be okay" she said and i nod

"yeah...im the top hunter so..why am i afraid" i said breathing out and she laughed

"also master Samuel will protect you if you need protecting" she said looking at me smiling encouragingly nods to the door men and looked at me

"good luck" then she disappeared the two men then grabbed the handle to the door slowly opening it i took another breath in and out then the door opened wide to reveal a huge room full of vampire who stood still looking at me and at the end of the room stood daniel looking at me shock written on his face i slowly walked in no sound was heard except for my heels clicking on the polished floor then they all shocked me by bowing one by one as i passed them the ladies curtsied and the men bowed i felt weird as i walked towards daniel there was a little girl who stood on the right side looking at me smiling her pearly white teeth waving her hand as her mother smacked her hand down

"bow to the princess" she said the little girl had a sad face on then slowly curtsied my face turned into a frown i walked towards them and stopped in front of them as the mother looked to the floor

"what is your name?" i asked her

"Melinda your highness" she said

"melinda, i dont know what kind of law you vampires have but i do not allow that kind of behavior" i said feeling brave all traces of fear gone

"im sorry your highness but what kind of behavior?" she asked her voice confused but respectful

"do not hit a child, vampire or human a child is a child" i said and she fell on her knees her palms on the floor

"im so sorry your highness please dont punish me" she begged sobbing i looked at her bewildered

"what?! i will do no such thing!" i said bending to her level as i heard gasped

"please get up" i said touching her shoulder she looked up shocked then i saw her red eyes a royal?

"i must say you are different" then she stood up fully stacy?!?!

"stacy?!?!" i said and she smiled turning to daniel

"i approve" i looked at him and back to her the little girl started to laugh then i saw her eyes changed from yellow to red

"hi my name is daniela" she said hugging me

"and as you know im stacy we are daniels sisters" she said looking at me smiling

"what?" i said shocked

"congratulations you just passed the royal test" said stacy smiling i turned to daniel who was smiling at his sisters  then looked at me

"lets start the ball" screamed stacy then she hugged me and walked away daniel was at my side

"you look so beautiful crystal" he whispered i turned to see him smiling at me

"what the hell just happened?" i asked still shocked and confused he chuckle making him look so handsome what the hell?! did i just think that he was handsome?

"dance with me?" he asked and i nod forgetting everything then we danced to a slow song, at first i was looking at my  toes

"dont look down just feel the music through you" i looked up to see daniel looking at me with a weird look then his eyes shined trapping me in them i felt the my breath hitch and my heart racing

"you really look beautiful tonight" he said his breath fanning my face i found my self closing my eyes inhaling his smell i slowly opened my eyes to see him looking at me still with the weird face

"i need to tell you something" he said breathless i nod knowing if i open my mouth my voice would be shaky

"i-" he was cut off by the others clapping we pulled apart and he clapped looking at me i looked around feeling embarrassed clapping my hands

"oh brother could i steal a dance with our new princess?" i turned to see stacy standing there with a huge smile he looked at me then at his sister he looked hesitant but agreed

"we'll talk later" he said and i nod she took my hand and we started dancing

"i can see that you and my brother are getting close" she said

"well-" i was cut off

"i know your falling in love with him i can see it in your eyes, but yet you still deny your feelings...why?" she asked i looked at her shocked

"what?" i asked

"oh dont play dumb crystal"  she said rolling her eyes

"its been a month you been here it wouldnt be a surprise if you guys fall for each other" i looked away not wanting to talk about it

'am i really falling in love with him?' i asked myself

"dont worry, i know he does you" she said then she stepped back clapping her hands then gave me a smile then she disappeared i stood there feeling so confused

'am i falling in love with him? and what does she mean he does you? is he falling in love with me?' so many question ran through my mind as i walked towards the balcony to get some air and clear my head.
