Ambush Pt.1

When i was young about 6 or 7 my mother told me about how she met my father, it one of the most romantic tale i have ever heard, my mother was a school teacher and my father was a police officer, they were the best couple, they never fought they never argue and they both have alot in common so it was easy for them to agree about everything, i remember watching them one night talking i was so young that i didnt really know what they were talking about but i remember them crying and my father holding her trying to comfort her they talked about demons and hunting, but at that age all i knew was that we lived under ground and it was home, i didnt think about anything other than that so it was easy for them to hide it from me, every time they go out they always say their going shopping and when i want to join them  they always say no, it was confusing for me and i always felt like they were mean, but once i had turned 10 yrs old when they went out hunting and never came back thats when i was told of what is happening outside and what has happened to my parents, i had to step up and train as hard as i can to avenge my parents death, i had to give up everything even my emotional feelings, my life, i had to be cold i had to be ruthless and that is what i am, so when Jake came in my room and told me what he felt i was shocked we hunters dont have feelings, we do but if we get them we suppress it

"Jake..." i looked at him not knowing what to say to that because i dont see him as anything but a partner, a team mate

"i dont feel anything towards you" i said looking at him seriously he stood there looking at me his emotions showing clear on his face but the one that was clear was hurt then anger he shook his head no, then clearing his throat

"im sorry to bother you" then he walked out i looked at him as he made his way out and closed the door behind him, i sighed and walked towards my sort of bathroom to take a shower, after my shower i got dressed in my hunting clothes and took my knifes then i headed out as i walked out i was met by Anna and Nina who were standing there with their arms folded and leg tapping on the ground with their faces they were not happy and that was clear on their faces

"what the fuck is wrong with you?" asked Nina

"what?" i asked and they looked at me

"what did you say to Jake?" asked Anna

"nothing" i said moving out of their way but they followed me

"then why did he storm out of here after he talked to you?" asked Nina

"what?!" i said stopping in my tracks

"dont worry the boys are with him" said Anna

"what did you do?" asked Nina still pissed off i looked at her confused as to why she was so mad, i know that she sometimes take his side and defend him but not to the extreme like this, i was about to ask her what her problem is when i noticed somethign, i saw it in her eyes as clear as day

"your in love with him arent you?" i asked and she looked away

"you know what we'll talk about this later lets go" i said climbing up the mud stairs to open the doors as soon as we were out we put the cover back on then we walked towards the town where i know he'll be there trying to let out some steam by calling the vampires and kill them

"why was he so mad?" asked Anna curious i just nod my head no and kept walking Nina was ahead of us still mad at me for making Jake angry, this team is falling apart and if i let them be a couple than it will definitely no doubt that its gonna fall apart i looked towards Nina watching her stomp her foot on the ground angry then i looked towards Anna who was watching the ground

"if i let this happen we will fall apart" i said now looking at the ground

"maybe it will...maybe it wont but just let them go through it, let them figure it out" she said

"but what if it ends badly" i said looking at her she looked at me and gave me a smile

"then we figure it out then" i looked towards Nina who was still walking ahead and stomping her feet

"you do know its against the rules right?" i said looking towards Anna then before she could say anything Nina fell we turned around to see something lodged in her shoulder and we ran over i slide to the ground next to her looking at her wound it was a silver arrow with a note attached to it i looked up at Anna

"we cant break it its silver...we need to bring her back and pull it out" i said but Anna was in an emotional state now to think she kept crying and touching her sisters face

"stay with me" she kept repeating i slapped her on the face to get her to focus then she looked up at me confused and angry

"get a grip Anna and help me get her away" i said and she nods i grab her arm and Anna grabbed the other arm and we put them on our shoulder  then we ran but then i saw something shiny coming towards me and i moved my body side ways and watched in slow motion as the arrow flew by me

"run Anna" i screamed then we started to run as fast as we could

"whats going on?" she asked as we ran

"i dont know" i said then we saw an opening in one of the roots of the big tree so we jumped in there we saw arrows fly by

"who are they crystal?" i looked at the wound on nina's shoulder

"i dont know but we need to stay here till its safe" i said

"will she make it?" she asked looking at her sister

"shes losing alot of blood"i said looking at the blood gushing out of her wound i looked out side to see that everything stopped

"anna listen to me" she looked at me tears falling from her eyes

"wipe those tears and kick in to hunter mode your sister needs you to be strong" i said and she wiped her tears away

"im gonna take them and run the opposite direction count to 20 and take her and run dont stop or look back just run got it?" she looked at me

"how bout you?"

"i'll meet you there when i get them off my trail" i said looking outside getting ready to run

"be careful crystal" i turned to her and smile

"always am" then i counted to 3 then i bolted out of there counting 1.2 then i heard shuffling noises and i knew they were following me 3.4. i saw arrows fly by me but i didnt stop 5.6 i kept running with them behind my back 7.8 i hope i survive this.
