(Do you guys like when I make every second chapter follow one story line?  One from the past, and one from the present?  I just thought it'd be too same-same if I didn't do this...)

~~A Little After The Past, But Still Before The Present~~

"The HYDRA camp is located in Krausberg, tucked between these two mountain ranges."  Peggy informed us as we studied a map in Howard's plane.  "It's a kind of factory."

"We should be able to drop you right on the doorstep."  Howard told us.

"Just get us as close as you can, Mr. Stark, we're extremely thankful."  I grinned to him and I saw a smile stretch across his features as he turned back to the front.

"You two are going to be in a lot of trouble when you land.  Not to mention the amount of trouble you'll be in, Lola."  Steve worriedly looked at us.

"Puh-lease.  As if the Colonel would go up against a Daylight Vampire without shitting himself."  I joked and heard Howard laugh.

"You're like the daughter I never had, Lola.  What do you think of working with me more in the future?"  He questioned with a grin.

"That sounds like work."  I joked as Peggy stifled a laugh and Steve ruffled my hair.

"Nah don't worry about it!  I'll teach you everything I know."  Howard grinned.

"I'll do my best."  I shrugged in defeat.

"That's the spirit!  If I ever have a son, slap me across the face whenever I go to reprimand him, will 'ya?"  He joked.

"And why would I do that?"  I smirked.

"Because I don't like children."  He finished.  We both laughed as Peggy coughed to stop herself from joining in the laughter and Steve rubbed his nose with a sigh.

"Here's your transponder."  Peggy told us once we all calmed down a bit.  "The signal will lead us straight to you, so use it once you get out of there."

"Are you certain this thing works?"  Steve questioned worriedly.

"It's been tested more than you, pal."  Mr. Stark answered back just before we were hit by gunfire from below.  Steve and I jumped into action and ran to the door which we quickly opened and prepared to jump from.

"Get back here!  We're taking you both all the way in!"  Peggy yelled.

"Once we're in the clear, you turn this thing around and get the hell out of here!"  Steve ordered.

"You can't give me orders!"  Peggy yelled back.

"But I can!"  I grinned.  "I'm a general!"  I grinned as Steve and I jumped into the dark clouds below, dodging the gunfires.  I changed into a hawk and caught Steve's shirt, flying and guiding us to safety.  We rolled onto the ground and I transformed back as we silently ran through the forest and ducked under a bush just out of sight.  The place looked like a fortress.  We heard the sound of motorbikes and vans driving towards the place.

We both seemed to get the same idea as we ran up to the last van and jumped in, completely unseen.  We then noticed the HYRDA men in black-tight suits with helmets covering their faces.
"Fellas..."  Steve nodded in greeting.

"How's it going?"  I asked politely.

"Good thanks."  One of them replied from the back of the group, every HYDRA agent just turned and looked at him.  I could imagine their faces being like: 'are you serious right now, man?'  "Oh.  Right."  The man who spoke sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.  The other men just shook their heads and facepalmed through their helmets before springing into action and lunging at us.  We successfully fought back and tossed them out without being noticed.

"Sorry!"  I quietly whispered as I tossed the polite HYDRA man out.

"No hard feelings!"  He quietly called back without alerting anyone else of our presence.  We entered the building and ducked in the back, covering ourselves with Steve's shield.  A man opened the back of the van and tilted his head at Steve's shield.  Steve quickly hit him with the shield and knocked him out, before we jumped out of the vehicle and quietly snuck away--deeper into the building.

We climbed around out of sight and ran to the cells of the factory where the prisoners were kept.  We came across a shut door and I decided to knock on it.  The door opened and a HYDRA man poked his head through the door.  I effectively punched him with the door and my fist before dragging him to Steve and I.  We snuck in and closed the door behind us, ducking between some crates and making our way deeper into the fortress.

Steve noticed some glowing power-weapons and snatched up what looked like a small grenade.  He put it in his pocket and signaled for me to follow him.  I nodded as we continued forwards.  We made our way above some cells near a guard who was patrolling the area.  Steve knocked out the patroller and we looked down at the cells as I quickly found the keys.

"Who're you two supposed to be?"  One man asked.

"I'm Captain America."  Steve replied.

"And I'm General Stars."  I grinned.

"I-I...beg your pardon?"  He asked again as we slid down onto the floor with the cells.  I opened the first cell before moving to the others just as quickly as Steve talked with the men.  We all grouped up and began walking.  I got to the front again just in time to hear:

"Get out fast and give 'em hell."  Over the noise of the factory.  "I'll meet you guys in the clearing with anybody else I find."

"Wait, hold on.  You know what you're doing?"  A man asked Steve questioningly.

"Yeah.  I've knocked out Adolf Hitler over two hundred times."  Steve joked as I grinned and followed him, leaving the men in a state of confusion.  We ran out the doors and the men began making chaos in their break-out.

"So where to?"  I asked over the noise.

"The factory!  That's where we'll find Bucky!"  He told me.  I nodded.

"Roger that, Rogers."  I chuckled.  We began fighting our way through the lines of HYDRA men who were attempting to defend their positions to no avail.  We quickly made our way to where we believed Bucky to be, but we quickly stopped mid-track when we noticed a German doctor running out of the room.  It was the doctor everyone kept talking about--the one that worked for HYDRA.  But I couldn't remember his name.  He ran from us, so we tried to catch up, but we stopped outside the room he left--the door was wide open.  I didn't know what kept me from running after him...until I heard a masculine groan of pain come from the room.  Steve and I made quick eye contact and darted into the room with the same thought.

It had to be him.  If it wasn't him.  Then I don't know what I'd feel anymore...
