~~Present Day~~

Tying my floor-length hair into a long plait, I stretched and jumped off the ceiling, twirling for the mirror.  My plait spun around with me and the ends rested just at ankle length, not touching the floor, but not far from touching it either.  I grabbed a blue wristband (for his eyes) and wrapped it around my right wrist's soulwords...Bucky's soulwords.  They could no longer be seen.  I literally, have not met any of my other soulmates...but SHIELD has been good to me.  I miss my boyfriend...but my soulwords are not crossed out with a red line meaning he's dead--so...somehow, there is still hope!  Maybe...

It takes a while to brush and wash my hair, but I don't care.  Anyone who cuts, even a strand of my hair, is deadmeat.  I trim only the ends so they don't split, and my fringe so it doesn't blind me.  I made a promise to Bucky, and for as long as he is alive, I will not cut my hair.  Because I promised to allow him to always cut my hair.

Fate has a weird way of working sometimes.  Steve...didn't die in that crash!  They found him, preserved in ice.  And now...he's alive and walking!  But...as much as I'd love to meet him again, something has come up, and I'm travelling with Agent Coulson.  I dunno where we're driving to, but it sounds important.  Some time passed by after I left my room, and finally, Agent Coulson and I were packed and ready for the trip.  It took a long, long, time to get there by plane and then we got a car and finished the journey.  It's pretty dry and the heat is humid.  There's dust and dirt everywhere we drive and it seems to carry on for forever.

We finally stop near a turn-out.  Cars, well utes (small trucks), are parked everywhere and men gathered from far are circled around a crater.  The rest of SHIELD arrived and parked beside us, just as we stepped out of the vehicle.  We slammed our doors shut, and the other agents rounded the people up and sent them home.  There was one man with white hair and glasses.  The back of his ute was damaged looking, so I helped him out and we were able to successfully clear the area.  Once it was cleared, I took this chance to see what everyone was facinated with, considering Fury left it a surprise, and saw a simple, ancient battle hammer with scrawled patters and intricate lines.  The handle was black and the rest was a silvery-grey.

"No one has been able to lift this hammer, not even the mightiest of men can, so we're going to build a safe base around it and research everything we can, about this hammer."  Agent Coulson informed me.  I felt strangely pulled to it.

"This hammer is no ordinary battle hammer, this is Thor Odinson's Hammer: Mjolnir."  I informed the Agent.

"Fascinating."  He rubbed his chin.  "He is your soulmate, is he not?"  He gestured to my left arm.  Bringing it up to look at I saw the soulwords written for all to see.  I do not cover up my soulwords if I am able to.  That is an offense to my soulmates.  However, I wearing long pants because I hate short pants, skirts and dresses.  Turning to Agent Coulson I nodded.

"Yes, he is."  SHIELD only made me an agent, because of my skills and soulwords.  The most intriguing to them, being Bucky's.  But before they could read it, I covered it up.  I know who HYDRA is and I'm not letting them tell me about all the bad things they might've made my love do.  They only caught a glimpse of 'Ex-Soldier' before I covered it up.  Hence, the wristband I'm wearing.

"Hm.  I see."  He hummed in thought, as the other Agents set up the tenting and brought out all the research equipment.  Agent Coulson phoned Fury about it and after a ten-minute private phone call, he walked back over and talked once more:  "Thor Odinson, would be an incredible assist for the coming future, Agent Stars."

"Yes, he would.  But that does not mean I will force him into working for SHIELD, nor would I tell him what is best."

"I understand that, but think of it this way, Agent Stars.  Thor Odinson--Norse God of Thunder and Lightning!  Think of what kind of man he could be!"  Agent Coulson encouraged me.

"Probably an arrogant one, if legends and stories are accurate."

"Well--I-I mean..."  He didn't know how to answer to that.  I laughed and pat his shoulder.

"I'm going to see if I can lift Mjolnir, just for the heck of trying for my soulmate.  Wanna watch and laugh as I fail?"  I joked.

"Hm."  He seemed to ponder the thought.  "Watch you mess up and humiliate yourself for no reason except you're bored again?"

"Yup."  I popped my 'p'.

"Okay."  He shrugged poker-faced, but I could see the amusement in his eyes.

"Great!"  I laughed.  We walked back over and saw just how fast the tents were being set-up, the defenses, the cars parked closer to make it easier, and we followed the hall of tent to the middle.  So crowded nearby to watch what was happening.  With a soft chuckle, Agent Coulson stood back and I confidently walked forward--perfectly fine with making a fool of myself once again.  Only the worthy can lift 'Mjolnir.'  That's how the legends go.  No one else can lift it.

I clasped my hands to hype myself up for failure and took a quick glance at the amusement on everyone's faces.  This isn't the first time I've done something stupid and made other Agents on the mission relax, smile or laugh.  That's why Fury sends me on missions--to lighten the mood whilst also keeping everyone safe.  I crouched down, wrapped both hands are Mjolnir and pulled with all my might...expecting the high resistance, same as everyone else.

I stumbled backwards and fell onto my butt, dropping the hammer with surprise.  I was expecting resistance.

"Okayyyyyy....I wasn't expecting that."  I blinked.  Cheers rose from everyone else.  I chuckled, stood back up and brushed myself off of dirt and dust.  Everyone watched with intrigue at what I would do next.  I had an idea...an idea that I thought in my thinker-thunker.

I picked up Mjolnir, and carefully set it down in the middle of the room.  Everyone looked at me quite confused.  So I spoke up loud and clear.
"Mjolnir is not mine to hold, Mjolnir is Thor Odinson's.  Here it will stay, and he will somehow find where it is."  I told them, quite confidently.

Everyone delivered shocked gasps and whispers.  But I didn't care.  I knew I made the right decision, right then and there.  Agent Coulson congratulated me, and told me I made the right decision, but...I wasn't so sure.  I don't want anything bad to happen to Mjolnir, but...you never know what could happen.  I talked to Fury over my phone and got permission to head home after explaining everything to him.  He also said I did the right thing.

I'm glad, I was born a good person!  Time to go on more missions in hopes of finding my Soulmates by travelling the world!
