Ch 1 - Reunion

14 years went by and Jay works at a big company as an Civil Engineering Technician and was given the job to participate in a field survey to inspect the topography, soil, drainage and water supply systems that can or already there, road accessibility to provide data for engineering projects with a newbie to show him around.

 After finishing the gathering of data for the project he was then attended a meeting with the partner company. He then was introduced to a beautiful woman who is wearing a familiar bracelet on her wrist. 

The engineer who made the project and collaboration possible and her name was Anna the same Anna he grew up with and had liked in the past. After the meeting, Jay waited for an opportunity to talk to Anna.

"Hi, how have you been?" - Jay

"Not bad, I'm still kicking. what about you?" - Anna

"I'm happy! because i got to see you again." - Jay

"pfftt hahaha" - Anna

"Hehe are you free later tonight?" - Jay

"Yup" - Anna

"Nice let's go eat somewhere and catch with some stuff" - Jay

"Alrighty but you gotta pick me up at *4*6 Something st. at 7 pm" - Anna

"Nice i got your address as a bonus too. Sure I'll be there" - Jay

 During the diner both talked and caught up with each other without mentioning about their past relationship.

6 months went by and the construction is halfway done, Jay was in the site checking the materials and Anna was holding a lunch box looking for him. When they were walking to the rest area then a sudden earthquake happened.

Both ran to an open area with many people being near, as ran to the open area Jay noticed that the crane started to tip towards where they are headed to. 

Jay shouted to notify them but not many people heard him due to the ruckus, Jay told Anna to keep running while Jay ran back towards the crowd. 

He kept shouting and most stared to move out of the way. But there were to 2 people who kept running, one was the newbie carrying an injured superior on his back and the architect with a panicked stricken face. 

The crane was already around 45° towards them and accelerating even more. Jay ran as fast as he could towards them with the plan to tackle both, he picked up a metal bar on his way, as he was approaching them so does the crane. 

Jay got close holding the metal bar horizontally, he rammed into both of them as the crane falls on his back. From his stomach down was crushed and hit his face on the solid ground. 

Jay was trying hard to stay conscious as much as possible, he cant feel his legs and there was sharp pain all over his body then the earthquake came to stop.

was looking up towards the three with a smile on his face and said "looks like your safe.... I'm glad" – Jay

Anna was running around the crane and as she saw Jay's condition she started crying while going towards him

"no no no no this... this cant be happening.. no." she turned towards the 3 "HURRY UP AND CALL AN ABULANCE" - Anna

Jay looked at her and smiled.

"Hey... don't shout, my head already hurts you know. Don't get mad alright it was my choice to save them." – Jay

"Yeah" – Anna

Anna then sat beside Jay crying while calling for help. Jay then grabbed her wrist with the bracelet.

"Hehe, you still have this huh? I also have mine, you will see it if you mull my sleeve up." – Jay
