After the briefing for the examination, I made my way down to the bus that would take me to the testing center. I was assigned to testing centre A, and as the bus moved, I studied the students on the bus carefully.

That blonde with spiky hair definitely has confidence in himself. Look at the way he's carrying himself. He must have a strong quirk, or is just over confident. But the fact that he doesn't just shout at all of us here that he can beat us means that he's just naturally strong.

But the way he's casting glances at the curly haired boy makes me conclude that he knows the curly haired boy. If such a strong opponent is recognizing a plain-looking boy like him, the green haired boy must be dangerous. But he looks jumpy. Suspicious. I'll look out for him.

The bus rocked to a stop before I knew it. It's time.

The battle center looked very urban. Fights with villains could take place anywhere. We were supposed to take down robotic villains, each ranging in their own points they had to give. However, the arena traps offer no points. But that made me more cautious. If there is a factor of no points, obviously no students would go after the bot. Then why add it into the test? There can be two possible reasons. The first reason- the no-point villains could cause confusion for examinees who did not pay attention during the briefing. These villains could be a test of whether you paid attention to Present Mic. But who wouldn't pay attention to a briefing for an entrance test for a school they wanted to attend?

This led me to conclude - the no-point villains were there to give examinees a chance to shine and defeat it. Of course, considering that the bot attracts the attention of many examinees. That means that the bot would be released at a certain time when all examinees are gathered at one place. I'll have to watch out for that moment.

"Hey! What are you waiting for?! There are no countdowns for real fights!" Present Mic waved at us. Immediately, the whole group of students surged forward eagerly, pushing one another and tripping.

However, I stayed behind, watching the other examinees. There's a boy with an engine quirk. His mobility and kicks are his plus points, and he'll have the advantage in this test. Hmmm... Engine. Not bad. I closed my eyes, concentrating.

After counting down to five seconds, I opened my eyes. Immediately, I was teleported on the top of a three-point villain. The moment my left foot touched the bot, it got pushed back all the way to the ground, metal parts and all. I caught sight of a red power glowing wire in the bot's upper compartment.

I imagined my consciousness spreading out to the whole center. I sensed the presence of these red glowing wires. I was teleported to those locations, my kicks sealing the bots' fates.

"Akira Jincaro! A hundred and seventeen points! She's in the lead so far!" Present Mic's voice rang from the speakers.

Not bad.

I sighed, teleporting myself to the rooftop of an orange-coloured building. I sat there, analyzing the scenes of battle below me. I think I'll let the others have a go.

I spotted the kid with the curly green hair. He was frantically looking around for points. He kept mumbling to himself repeatedly, sweating profusely. I decided it would do me no harm to help someone a little.

"Hey! You need help?" I shouted from above. He whipped his head around in my direction.

I jumped down from the rooftop. "You look like you need some points. What's your name?" I asked.

"M-Midoriya Izuku." He said.

I reached out to the presence of the remaining two-point bots. There. Without warning, I grabbed Midoriya's collar and teleported with him to that location. I dropped him from the height that would squash the bot but soften the impact of his fall.

"Good luck!" I grinned at him before letting go. He had a shocked expression on his face, before he screamed and flailed as he squashed the bot under him.

I teleported back to the rooftop and watched the time ticking away on my watch. Two minutes to go. If I am right, I still have about a minute before the no-point villain comes out. I hope that Midoriya guy accumulated enough points to pass already.

"Participants! You have one minute left! Akira Jincaro is still in the lead with Katsuki Bakugo following behind in second place!" Present Mic boomed.

So, I'm still in the lead. I wonder if Katsuki Bakugo will catch up.

Forty seconds to go. I teleported myself to the center of the arena. Since the participants will be following the last remaining bot, it would make sense if they all gathered where the last bot is, which is the center of the arena.

It's time.

As I had anticipated, a gigantic figure loomed in front of all of us. The zero-point villain. Many people let out cries of shock and gasps. I wonder who will defeat this bot... The bot advanced on the participants, crushing the buildings all around it. I guess I better get out of here.

However, as I jumped out of harm's way, I heard a girl's cry for help. I turned around, seeing a girl trapped under the rubble of the buildings. The colossal bot is surely going to crush her...

However, I only managed to take a few steps forward before I saw someone jump up towards the bot at the corner of my eye. It was Midoriya Izuku, his fist raised.

"SMASH!" He yelled, before punching the colossal bot square in the head, sending it flying backwards.

I rushed forward, taking the girl into my arms. She didn't look injured at the very least. I looked up and saw Midoriya falling downwards. He was falling towards the ground at breakneck speed. He can't... Stop himself?!

The situation dawning on me, I quickly laid the girl on the floor and teleported up into the sky, above Midoriya.

"Midoriya! Grab my hand!" I shouted at him. The wind whipped me across the face as I tried to grab Midoriya.

He looked up, surprise flashing across his face.

"You...?" He asked.

"Quick! Do you have a death wish or something?!" I yelled.

Midoriya extended his only good hand towards me.

A little more...

We were gaining speed, and were mere metres above the ground.

"Come on...!" I spurred my hand to reach further.

TAP!  The lifesaving sound rang in my ears. At the last possible second, my fingers brushed against Midoriya's thumb and I managed to stop his fall. We were both frozen in mid-air, and it was as if time had stopped completely. Midoriya had squeezed his eyes shut and had tears at the corner of his eyes.

I heaved a sigh of relief before saying to him," you can open your eyes now." Midoriya slowly opened his eyes, registering the scene before him.

"H...How did you do this...?" He asked, astonished.

"It's my quirk." I said, before letting the both of us down.

"That was a close shave. Anyways, you better get healed up." I told him. I looked at his arm and legs. Must have been his quirk.

"Uh... T-Thank you!" He said gratefully. Although his face was contorted in pain, he still bit his lip as he thanked me.

"Anytime." I replied.
