Time Skip

And it came the day when I received my entrance examination results.

In my mind, I already knew the outcome.

I read the words boldly printed into the script. It was as if this letter was asking: You will undergo three years of grueling training and hell. Still wanna go? And then I'd nod my head vigorously, saying: There's nothing I can't take on!

I was accepted.

I spent the remaining weeks training with my brother, Wanori, strengthening my quirk. I usually did my quirk training with him, because, after all, he could always heal himself back again using his quirk.

"Wanori! Hit harder!" I encouraged him.

"I'm trying!" He said, squirming.

"You have a long way to go, Wanori. Like this, you'd probably be a support sidekick for a hero! You wanna be a great hero who's strong, right?" I tickled him and chuckled.

"Yeah!" My little brother's eyes shone like stars. What I found amusing, was that unlike me, my brother had light brown hair and bright yellow eyes that shone like the stars. We weren't alike at all.

"Then train with me!" I said, standing up once again, crouching low.

"It's on!" Wanori said, readying his first attack.

However, I caught his feeble punch with my palm. "Harder!" I chided him. Beads of sweat dotted Wanori's forehead as he struggled.

"How are you... So strong?" Wanori panted continuously.

"Hard work." I grinned at my brother and patted him on his head. "Go rest for now."

First Day

I made sure I woke up extra early today. I wasn't going to be late for my first day at school. Plus, I wanted to take the long route today to meet my friend.

I got ready by seven and set off.

I was wearing my dress shirt, blazer, skirt and leggings that went all the way up my thighs. I left out the red tie, though. Too formal. But nonetheless not forgetting my blue headband and earrings that I love.

It was hot and humid today, so I decided to take off my blazer and stuff it into my sling bag. There was not even one gust of wind. I balanced on the edge of the canyon, where the cement met the grass. It was a thin line, and the fall down towards the canyon would leave me with a few good injuries.

"Meh, whatever." I said lazily, hopping up onto the edge of the canyon and walking casually on the thin line of cement.

"Hmmm, I wonder where he is..." I put my finger on my lips, pondering about where my a=little animal friend would be.

Suddenly, I felt something weigh heavily on my shoulder. However, I didn't feel shocked or anything. Still recovering from my grandmother's death...

I placed both of my hands on my shoulder and felt Flight's wings brush against my fingers.

"Hello, Flight." I whispered to the little bird resting on my shoulder. Flight had soft feathers the colour of red and yellow. He had incredibly strong wings and intricate swirls at his neck. That was what made him different from the other parrots. He was a strong bird, and could fly a long distance before gliding down to rest again.

Flight peeped in response and chirped happily. And one thing about Flight was that he really knew songs.

Flight started humming a tune, which soon turned into a melodious symphony with many birds chiming in at different times. I myself hummed along, still balancing on the edge of the canyon. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew and Flight took off from my shoulder. I lost my balance on the edge of the canyon, and tumbled towards the canyon floor.

I nimbly landed on my feet with agile and looked up and Flight, now resting on a tree branch. "I guess you'll ditch me for today." I said. Flight flapped his wings in response.

I adjusted my bag strap and continued walking to U.A. It was my first day today.

I finally got to the building, and jumped up the stairs. I heard my phone buzzing and fished it out from my pocket. It was a message from Mum.

"Akira, did you forget to eat your breakfast?!"

"Oh...Uh- I forgot. Sorry, Mum." I replied sheepishly. I made my way in to classroom 1-A.

"You need the energy! Geez, why were you in such a rush?" My mother sighed.

I walked into the classroom, still on the phone. "Um... I don't wanna be late for school...?" I lied.

"Don't be so nervous, Akira! I'm sure you'll be fine." She said.

"I'm not nervous, Mum. Anyways, I have to go. See you later when I come back." I said.

"Have a good day at school! I love you!" My mum said.

"Love you too."I replied, hanging up. I slid my phone into my pocket, glancing to the seats on my left. I'd been so distracted with my phone call I hadn't noticed the whole class staring at me.

"Hmm? What?" I asked, a quizzical look on my face.

"Hey, what's your name?" A boy with blonde hair asked, standing to my right.

"I want to know all about you!" A purple haired boy said. A weird hair colour, I might add.

"Ummmmm. Akira Jincaro-" I started, but immediately got interrupted.

"THE PERSON WHO FINISHED FIRST PLACE?!" The blonde hair boy's eyes grew wide.

"I'm Denki Kaminari. Are you single? Where do you come from? What's your birthday?" The blonde boy asked rapidly.

"I'm-" I got interrupted once more.

"I'm Mineta. What's your quirk? How-" Mineta got shoved away by someone's hand.

"Both of you! Stop harassing this girl at once!" A boy with indigo hair said, pointing at Kaminari and Mineta repeatedly. "Return to your seats!"

The boy approached me, waving his hands like a robot. "I'm Tenya Iida from Somei High. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Yours too. And 'harassing' is kind of exaggerating."

Iida extended his hand towards me. He wanted to shake hands with me.

"Sorry, Iida. I don't shake hands." I gave him a sheepish smile, patting him on his back instead.

Hmmm... Where should I sit? I scanned the crowd, my eyes darting from left to right. If I sit in the front row I'll get the most attention from teachers. No, I don't like that. I'll just laze at the back.

I made my way to the back of the classroom. I saw a girl with a pony tail sitting at one of the desks, next to her a boy with red and white hair-

Wait. Red and white? Recognition flashed across my face as my eyes met those of the boy's. His two eyes were of different colours too. One was a warm, dusty brown that I swear I've seen somewhere before. The other was a clear turquoise, reminiscent of gentle waves crashing against the shoreline. Huh. It seemed like I had seen him somewhere before but I just couldn't grasp the memory.

The boy's eyes widened for a split second too. So, we've met before......

(A/N): Akira doesn't remember Todoroki ="(
