Akira's P.O.V.

I sat down on my seat, still feeling the boy's eyes on me. We've seen each other before, somewhere... I just couldn't remember it. It sent a chill down my spine.

Just then, a boy with spiky hair entered the classroom. He carried himself confidently, a grin on his face. Hmm...  Familiar. Wait. This was that ash-blonde guy I saw on the bus for the entrance examination. Then, my prediction was correct. He was strong. Strong enough to get in.

The moment he sat down, he hefted his two legs onto his desk.

"Sheesh, not everyone wants to smell your feet." I muttered.

Spotting this action, Iida immediately shot up from his desk at breakneck speed and started reprimanding the boy.

"Do not place your feet on top of the desk!" Iida said, waving his hands around again.

They droned on and on. I slipped on my earphones and started humming to my own tune. I crossed my arms and sat back in my chair, watching Iida and the boy.

Just then, the front door opened again, and two people stepped into the classroom. The first to emerge was a boy with curly green hair and a splash of freckles across his face. He had large green eyes that shined brightly.

"Oh. Hey, Midoriya!" I said, waving my hand at him from the back of the classroom.

He spotted me and immediately smiled at me. Looks like he still remembers me.

The second person to step into the classroom was a girl, a brunette to be more specific. She was petite, with pretty brown eyes which shined constantly. Her eyes resembled those of Wanori.

Before I could say another word, a monotone voice droned out from outside the door.

"I'm Shota Aizawa, your homeroom teacher for this year." He said.

A pro hero, then. Although he looked pretty shaggy and worn-out, I didn't doubt his powers.

"It's a bit sudden, but put this on and meet at the field outside."

Aizawa-sensei said, pointing to our P.E. uniform in his hands. I guess this homeroom teacher... Is wisest, after all. I rummaged in my bag for my P.E. uniform, before changing into it and heading out onto the field.

"Hello! What's your name?" Someone said from beside me. It was the girl who was last to enter the classroom.

"Akira Jincaro. Call me Caro." I said, giving her a smile.

"I'm Ochaco Uraraka! Pleasure to be your classmate!" She said, clasping her hands together.

"Mhmm." I hummed. I was the anti-social type of person, but she approached me first anyways.

"Um, Caro-san, do you mind if I ask you what your quirk is?" She asked after a while.

Aizawa-sensei started speaking. "We'll be having a quirk assessment test. You can use your quirk however you like, just do not hurt your classmates around you. Last place will be expelled." Huh. Use our quirks in any way? Last place......Expelled? Yeah, right. That's definitely a lie.

"Jincaro."

I looked up, hearing my name being called.

"You finished first in the entrance examination. Why don't you demonstrate this activity for the whole class?" Aizawa-sensei gave the ball to me.

Use my quirk in any way, huh?

Wind manipulation x10, strength enhancer x12.

"I guess you'll see, then, Uraraka-san." Ochaco gave me a look of encouragement before I stepped into the ring.

I measured the weight of the ball in my right hand. Soft, pretty light.

"Okay. Here goes." I still had a chill expression on my face as I readied my position. I took a huge step forward, swinging the ball into momentum. At the last possible second, I activated my quirk on my wrist, causing the ball to shoot forward at breakneck speed. A gust of wind blew my hair back and I stared into nothingness with my face still in a chill expression.

The device in Aizawa-sensei's hand measures the distance which the ball travels, not the height. So my aim is not to send it flying, but rather to send it forward. This way, I can reduce the distance my ball has to travel while increasing the measured length on the device.

I waited for Aizawa-sensei's device to beep. I waited. And waited.

It finally did.

"2090 metres, Akira Jincaro." Aizawa-sensei said.

"WHAT?!?!" The whole class looked shell-shocked, like they'd been zapped with a hundred volts of electricity.

I didn't feel accomplished. Just empty......Still, I hadn't recovered. I sighed inwardly, returning back to my position.

"Caro-san... You're amazing!" Ochaco's exclaimed.

"No, I'm sure you can do better, Uraraka-san. Go beat me." I said, giving her a pat on her shoulder. Indeed, she could. I knew that she could.

We did a dash next.

Speed boost x20, wind manipulation x7.

"3.49 seconds." The robot beeped as I ran past it.

"YOU BLUE BASTARD!" The boy with spiky hair shouted at me.

"......Blue bastard? What vibrant usage of words." I muttered.

We did a couple more tests, finally going back to the shot put one. Since I already had my turn, I watched my other classmates have a go. Finally, it was Ochaco's turn.

The way she tapped her clothes and shoes while preparing for the race...... That's her quirk. She activates it by touching objects with her fingers. After that, she ran in an upright posture, not the usual bend we all do when running. That means she didn't have to support any weight. So, is that her quirk? She makes things weightless after touching them? Then, she'd ace this shot put test.

"Caro-san..." Ochaco looked nervous.

"Don't worry, Uraraka-san. You'll beat me. I'm sure." I said.

"R-Really?!" Ochaco looked into my eyes.

"Just activate your quirk on the ball." I gave her a small smile.

Ochaco gradually nodded, like the situation finally made sense to her. "Right!" She hopped down from the bench and onto the field.

Ochaco did as I said, levitating the ball up in the sky and not releasing it. We waited a long while before Aizawa-sensei announced that Ochaco's score was infinite.

The whole class let out gasps of shock while I smiled to myself.

"You did it, Uraraka-san." I said to her.

"It's all thanks to you!" She thanked me.

(A/N): Akira meets Ochaco! ^^
