Standing at the edge of the cliff and staring down at the waves crashing savagely at the shore. It look like madness when the water kept swooping in. And I am afraid of what these currents can do to me if I jump at this cliff.

But then there were two couples hooking up at the back of two tall rocks.

"Go on! Hook up you crazy people! How disgusting! Don't you even know the term scandal being post in R-18 websites for your behaviors!" I exclaim to them, but they didn't hear me.

"What are you doing at the edge of the cliff again, Laillah?" A friend of mine asks.

I didn't remove my gaze below the couples who continued hooking up. So infuriating! I am taking my time to relieve stress but these people destroyed my day!

"I'm waiting," I answered back at her.

I hear the ripple of her slippers in every step she take on the surface of the rock. Every step felt like judgment. For sure she's going to throw another remark at me.

"Are you waiting for him? Your imaginary boyfriend." She pointed out.

I stay silent and listen to the sea. I knew it.

"Hey, talk to me." I ignore her. The sea is not at peace, and I can't hear him. Where could he be? "Stop coming here, Laillah. You are tiring yourself by climbing at this cliff."

"But I want to hear him."

She places an arm around my shoulders patting it and sat beside me. "You just happen to have sensitive ears, that's why you thought someone is talking to you before when you were found at the shore unconscious and breathing."

I rolled my eyeballs and pointed to the couple who are not yet done with their stupid affair. "It is too sensitive that I can hear their bodies slamming to each other. God! They are still at it."

Delly look at what I was pointing at and her crazy personality came out. "Oh snap! They are having sex on a public beach!"

"Yes. You finally notice."

"Why haven't you told me! I could've had taken a video of them and—"

I slump a hand on her petty little mouth. She's really crazy! "Contain your enthusiasm, Delly!"

"But!—"

"I'll leave this whatever scheme to you. I have no say to this since I am waiting for someone." I gently slip away from her side. "I'll see you around. Don't get caught, okay?"

She grin like the cat at Alice in the Wonderland. "Okay! I'll update you!"

"Please, don't." I begged and left her. When I was far away from the cliff, I can hear from my location the giggling and wicked snickering of Delly. Crazy best friend, she finds leisure on a fickle scandal.

I sigh and shook my head. Her outrageous personality will get her in trouble. And I really wish she doesn't get caught.

I took another deep breath and listen to my surroundings—but cutting off Delly from my radar.

I can't hear him. Why is that?

Last summer, there was a disrupting accident near the cliff I went. And while I was at that place and fell off the cliff, a man saved me from the monstrous waves. A elegant man, I was sure of it. And he promised in my sleep that he would call out to me.

But why hasn't he called yet? I am eager to meet him.

I cover my ears as a static wave pierce through my ears. The screech cause my sense of hearing agonizing pain. "Ahhh! Ahhh!" I kneel and cry. It is painfully unbearable.
