I sagged against the door with my eyes closed, heavily breathing. My throat feels too dry to form any coherent sentence right now and I licked my cracked lips before opening my eyes to glare at Elijah who's currently in the same state as me.
We spent a good couple of minutes rough fucking housing each other at this confined space and I'm not proud about that.
At all.
The damage isn't too bad considering the windows are still intact and he's still breathing. I grunt against the door, putting all my weight on the leg I'm using to pin him with.
He did managed to get my jacket off though which is impressive as hell considering I almost clawed his eye out trying to get him off me.
It's tiring. This is too tiring. Seemingly everything is going south ever since that tragic day at the tunnel.
"Sir, we'll be there in less than 15 minutes" I glared at the driver for a second before diverting my attention to back to him.
He's breathing less heavily now but his eyes are still shut. It almost looks like he's more mentally in pain which is related in many ways.
He grunts, scrunches up his nose before pushing himself off the door to sit up more straight.
"I don't have time for this" He mutters mainly to himself and I resist the urge to scoff.
He shuts his eyes again and he looks like he's having some sort of inner battle with himself before reopening his eyes to pin me with a flat glare.
"Just put on the dress" He pushes my foot off his chest before throwing me said dress.
"I'm not- okay listen" I'm not doing that shit but stopped because I have a feeling that we'll be up all night if I finished that sentence.
"Just tell me what's going on" I said, hoping that he'll just give me a rundown on what's happening or what I'm getting myself into again.
He frowns, looking like he's contemplating it before scrunching up his nose in distaste.
"No. Put it on" He pauses.
"We made a deal" I scoffed.
"No, you just made some vague bargain with me that I didn't even agreed to"
"Just" He shuts his eyes again, roughly running a hand through his hair and tugging at the ends as he looks at me.
"Put it on"
"It'll take less than 15 minutes I promise" The fight dies in my mouth.
He sounds and looks desperate and that's probably not a good enough reason but I'm weak as a human being.
Very fucking weak.
I grumbled under the breath, snatching the dress that's hanging off the seat.
"Turn the fuck around" He sighs in relief and I continue to glare at him up until he closes his eyes. Still grumbling under my breath, I reluctantly put on the dress which thankfully is the kind where you just simply wrap it around your body so I don't really need to take off anything which is convenient.
I can't believe that I'm actually doing this. How low have I sunken since leaving the resistance.
Another beat of silence passes by before the driver speaks up again, announcing that we've arrived.
Elijah reopens his eyes just as I peered outside, frowning at the sight of a garden.
No not a garden, it's a maze.
