To Catch a Poem
It hides in the
blue of sky,
noise of the crowd,
smell of the rain,
dark full of stars
Tried to trap it
in cages of words
As I chase,
it slips away slyly
Other times
it hits like the storm
Calls me
Dawns in a dream
or math class
At times I sit back
And let it dance about
But in the end
It gets tired,
Comes to rest on paper
It leads me by hand
I smile as I see it
Grow and bloom
I grow along too
Thus borns a story,
rhyme, tale
A piece of me
