~Harry's PoV~

"Oh, blimey, I almost forgot! Happy Birthday Harry," The huge man said, fumbling around in his pockets looking for something. "It might be a bit squished, but it will taste the same none the less." He has pulled out a box from one of the many pockets in his big coat, and handed it to me. I opened it, and inside was a cake, with pink icing, and green writing that read 'Happee Birthdae Harry'. This was the best present I had ever gotten.

"Thank you!" I said, confused, but smiling at the giant man who stood in front of me

"Thank you!" I said, confused, but smiling at the giant man who stood in front of me.
"It's not every day your young man turns eleven now is it!" Said the giant. He lit a fire in the fireplace with his umbrella, which was very confusing.
"Excuse me, but who are you?" I said, still very confused as to why this man had known it was my birthday. "Rubeus Hagrid, keeper of keys and grounds at Hogwarts. Of course, you'll know all about Hogwarts." Hagrid said, smiling.
"Sorry, no." I had no idea what Hogwarts was. "No? Blimey Harry didn't you ever wonder where your mum and dad learned it all?" Hagrid questioned. "Learnt what?" I said, extremely confused now.

"Yer a wizard, Harry."

"I'm a what?" I asked the giant.
"A wizard." Hagrid responded.
"No, you've made a mistake, I can't be a wizard, I'm... just... Harry!" I exclaimed.
"Well, 'Just Harry', did ye ever make anythin' happen? Anythin' you couldn't explain when you were angry? Or scared?" Hagrid said. I began to think back to Dudley's birthday, and how the glass disappeared. *did I do that?* I wondered. Hagrid must have seen how I reacted to this, as he just smiled. Hagrid then passed me my letter, which I finally could read.

I read aloud,
"Dear Mr Potter, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!" I smiled at Hagrid, when suddenly Uncle Vernon started yapping at Hagrid, saying how I wasn't allowed to go. Aunt Petunia then rambled on about how her sister, my mother, was awful, and how in her parents eyes was perfect. She continued on,
"... and then, she went and got herself blown up! And we were landed with you-"
I interrupted her, yelling.
"Blown up?! You told me my parents died in a car crash!"
"A CAR CRASH?" Hagrid's voice boomed, silencing everyone, including me.
"A CAR CRASH KILLED LILY AN' JAMES POTTER? ITS AN OUTRAGE! A SCANDAL!"

"He will not be going!" Uncle Vernon said firmly.
"Ooh, and I suppose a great muggle like yourself is gonna stop 'im are ya?" Hagrid said, mockingly.
"Muggle?" I asked, in confusion. Hagrid turned to me and calmly answered,
"Non Magic folk," he turned back to the Dursleys.

"He's been on that list since he were born! He's goin' to the finest school of witchcraft and wizardry in the world, AND, he'll be under the finest headmaster that Hogwarts has ever seen. Albus Dumbledore." Hagrid said angrily.
"I am not paying to have some old fool teach him magic tricks!" Vernon yelled back at him. Instantly realising he made a mistake, he backed away, as Hagrid had raised his pink umbrella to Uncle Vernon's neck, (not that there was much neck, mainly chins.)
