Run.
Run.
Run.
Run.
Run.
RUN.
RUN.
RUN.
RUN.

R U N-!

I ran through the forest, lush green leaves and dark brown twigs getting crushed under my feet and making a sick "crackling" sound.

My feet and legs ached. My arms ached. My hands twitched in anticipation as to what would happen next. My legs wobbled and felt like jello, almost like they would give out any second.

Still I had the urge to run, to outrun the predator behind me. He was stalking ever so closer. Staying only mere inches behind me. Making me feel as if I'm outrunning him, making me feel as if I had a chance.

But he was right there. It didn't matter if he was only a few inches behind me, the fact that he was even near me didn't let me rest safely. So I ran and ran and ran.

All of me was on hyper alert. I could feel tiny strands of his hair touch my body, which made me jolt and try and push my legs faster.

Faster.
Faster.
Faster.
Faster!

As the time past I could feel his eyes burning brighter into the back of my head, making my heart skip a beat and eyes widen, looking for any possible path to escape him.

Faster!
Faster!
F a s t e r-!

Then I felt his finger tips graze my shoulder. An audible gasp left my lips, and I realized he had gotten bored.

F a s t e r-!

F a s t e r-!

F A S T E R-!

Then his hand clasped on my shoulder, as a automatic; almost involuntary response, I screamed. No words could form in my panic state, or even be process. No words in any language could express what I was feeling. It was just a raw, gut-wrenching, scream.

N O-!

My body launched forward, an audible gasp leaving my throat as I instinctually grasp at the shoulder I felt being touched. When I didn't feel anything I panicked and checked my other shoulder, then turned behind me to see a bed frame.

It was only then that I started to observe my surroundings and found out that I was still
In the room and on the bed. 'It was just a dream.' I thought, putting a hand over my heart and letting out a sigh of relief. It didn't matter how many times I've had that dream, it still gets my heart racing and my nerves go through the roof.

I slowly began to push those thoughts aside as I got up and made myself a quick breakfast before grabbing all of my personal belongings. After doing a run through to see if I had all my weapons I figured out I didn't have my knife in the thigh holster I always wore.

I stopped mid-stride once this came to my attention and blanked for a second. 'Why isn't my knife there.. i haven't used it in forever..' I thought, trailing off as I tried to re-trace my steps from yesterday. Sadly, the last thing I remembered was saying goodbye to Gon and Killua, then coming in my room to rest for one more night. After that my memory was blank.

And through that time I never once pulled my knife out. I glance around my room and surprisingly found the knife embedded into the wall across from the front door. 'Strange.. why would it be over there?' I tried to think of any rational reason or try to rack my brain of the events after I made it to my room as I walked over to the wall. Upon closer expection the knife was fully pushed into the wall, all the way up to the handle.
