~ (y/n)'s P.O.V. ~

I hummed, shifting as I woke, then I slowly opened my eyes. I stared at the ceiling for a moment, not recognizing where I was. I furrowed my brows, slwoly remembering last night, then it dawned on me that I must still be in the Academy.

I sat up, gently touching the side of my head where my injury was and found a bandage there. I sighed, looking around to see the room was most likely their medical room. There was a note on the side table the directed me to where ice packs were for my head, along with pain medicine. Under the note was also a small stack of clothes. I glanced down at myself, seeing what I was wearing was ripped in some places. I smiled at the thoughtfulness, until I lifted the note and saw the clothes was the girl version of Five's uniform.

"You have got to be kidding me." I whispered, picking up the different pieces, but this was better than nothing, so I carefully changed my clothes. When I was dressed, I walked to the cabinet, taking some of the pain medicine, then going to the small ice box and getting an ice pack to hold on the side of my head. I glanced around again, then went to the doors of the room and quietly opened them. I peeked both ways, glad to find that no one was around.

I stepped out of the room, quickly making my way to the stairs. I didn't want to face Five's siblings' questions on my own, especially since none of them besides Klaus really knew anything about me or where I came from.

"-was talking about how this girl, (y/n), was 'soft' on him, and you're saying that she wanted to help him. I think we should talk to her. She could know more about Five and what's going on." There was a scoff.

"Yeah, except they didn't seem to be getting along very much yesterday." I swallowed as the voices came closer, sneaking myself into a closet, waiting for the voices to pass.

"It's still worth asking her, see what the hell is going on. She has to know something." The conversation sounded like it was between Diego and Luther.

"It's weird, though, because there seemed to be... something the two weren't bringing up directly. She claimed to have worked with him, mentioned saving each other, and with that, he seems a little protective of her in his weird angry way. It doesn't make sense." Diego huffed.

"That's why we ask her, Luther." Their conversation became faint the further they went down the hall. I moved out of the closet, rushing to the stairs. Halfway down, I heard Luther yell something. They probably had discovered I was gone.

When I made it to the door, I fumbled with the knob, hearing the sound of running steps coming towards the stairs. I got the door to open, then I rushed out of the Academy, breathing out a sigh as I hid myself in the side alley. I really needed to find Five and talk to him.

I trailed a hand up the railing of the library, remembering being here not that long ago. I had gone back to Five's van earlier, but he wasn't there. Instead, I found a small stack of books from the library, and I decided that would be my next best guess on where he was.

I began walking up the stairs of the library, stopping on some of the floors to peek around, but ultimately, I kept walking until I was on the top floor. I huffed, glancing around and wondering where Five was, then I stumbled over a small stack of books.

"I'm so sor- Five?" The boy turned his face up to me, blinking, then he smiled.

"(y/n)!" Five waved me down to where he was and I scrunched my nose, leaning in closer to smell him.

"Have you been drinking?" I questioned, even though I knew the answer from the smell of alcohol on Five's breath as he shrugged.

"I decided why the hell not? Everything is going wrong. I mean, the other night I couldn't get Dolores out of the store, and today the lab- Meritech- blew up, so I've decided I need to start over, find a way to go back to the beginning." I sighed, taking in the different equations he had written across some of the wall, papers, and books surrounding him.
