The Tiny Phantom - [[Detecive!Kageyama x Thief!Hinata]]

Chapter 4

[[ Hinata's POV (again :>) ]]

"You okay?" 

I look up to find Kageyama grabbing me by the wrist. 

Pfft, this is honestly the most cliched situation to have happened to me. Huh, I didn't realize the nice watch he was wearing. Maybe taking one small item wouldn't hurt.

As he pulled me up, I used my other hand to grab onto his wrist and swiftly took away his watch. I slipped his watch into my pocket. I was honestly surprised he didn't notice.  

I stood upright and fixed my dress, "yeah, I'm good."

"You might wanna stay close, we don't want another incident like that to happen."

And who said chivalry was dead.

I took a glance at how much more area we had to walk. The hall looked quite long, I figured it would give me enough time to steal the pendant before the detective comes searching for me.

Suddenly K spoke up, "hey Sho, you're behind schedule."

"Sorry, just give me a minute, I need to lose Mr. detective over here, " I said in a faint voice.

"I told you wearing a disguise was a good decision."

"Alright, I owe you one. I'll get going now." 

I then began walking the opposite direction the detective was walking and tried my best to blend in with the crowd. I slid and bumped my way through until I reached the Soul pendant. 

"It's go-time K."

"Roger."

Right after the response, the lights cut off.

The attendees suddenly went silent, and murmurs of confusion and concern were spoken.

I approached the frame and noticed it had a lock on it.  I quickly slipped on my gloves before taking a hairpin I kept for situations like these and began picking the lock.

They should probably upgrade their security measures because I managed to open the lock as if I was unlocking my own door.

I opened and snatched the pendant. With the pendant in my hand, I began running to the nearest fire exit. I suddenly felt a hand grab on my other wrist.

A jolt of surprise hit me, I turned my head.

"Where have you been? I've been looking all over for you?"

Great, it's Mr. detective. 

"Eh- Oh, uh I, got swept by the crowd... again."

"It's not safe here ma'am, someone stole the pendant."

Huh not bad, it's only been a few minutes and yet he already noticed. 

"Yeah, I did."

"...What?"
