TLK II AU stands for The Lion King II AU. The story will still have the Aftons and the Emilys as humans and still have their personalities. And yes, this is a modern AU story. The Lion King II AU is a crossover with another fandom of choice(it's also because the other fandom had the same similarities as the fandom they cross over with). It's kind of obvious that The Lion King II and The Afton Family is a little similar. If you read my Sweet Revenge story which has the cross with Gravity Falls and Ducktales 2017 with the exception that they share their roles. The roles in this fanfiction are paired with a role from The Lion King II. Here are the roles:

Henry Emily: Simba
Shelly Emily: Nala
Elizabeth Afton: Kovu
Michael Afton: Nuka
Slyvia Afton and Chris Afton: Vitani(Slyvia is Elizabeth's non-canon twin sister)
